I have a d16z6 and basically the cam i have for my setup is fucked so i cant use it. So my compression is around 12.6:1 according to zealworks comp calulator. So i have to either run stock cam or get another one i cant afford anything atm. Whats the worst that could happenn if i run stock cam with that high compression?

No offense - but I wouldn't listen to a guy who runs 12.5 CR untuned. And then a guy who would put 89 octane on a 12.5 CR setup.

You can "cheat" a bit by running a cam gear and doing some angle changes 1 or 2 degrees in either direction. But if you have a car to use as a DD wait until you can get a cam w/ with more lift and duration. You are actually above the limits of pump gas at 12.6 (untuned).

np, but as stated before if you can wait and save up the money for a cam you might bring a little bit of "beast" out of the D

you can run the stock or aftermarket cam, but the tune will be different for both. @ 12.5 comp you will detonate if it's untuned on either cam. you will obviously benfit more from the aftermarket cam, but you can do either. i would recommend waiting on the aftermarket cam then tuning it, unless you want to get it tuned twice.
