As stated, What car did you learn to drive a manual in? Sorry, misscourtney, this is a thread you cannot post in.

First manual car I EVER drove was a Fiat 600 (don't know what year, it was in the 50's though lol.)
I learned in a 95 Civic coupe, lol.

Well my dad is a VW guy so I happened to fall into it too. But I don't like watercooled VWs much anymore.

I'm enjoying the Rodeo though. I had to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor and the CEL bulb to get it to pass emissions. I just put a nice set of new Kumho tires on it. Thats all I'm going to do with it since its just a parts hauler for my other cars.

i learned in a miata in a church parking lot with the biggest hill ever, i didnt do too bad driving cause i knew the concept, but the hill killed me. Then about 3 weeks later i bought my first 240 and it was 5 speed, just jumped in and went for it. I stalled in the first 300 feet puling outta a parking lot being nervous and that was about all once i got used to a 5 speed.

Well. The first time I ever tried to drive a 5spd on was an 86 accord when I was 14. My dad thought I should learn.

But when I got my EJ was when I really learned thoroughly. Soo 95 Civic :)

Hell yeah!!

Well mine may take the cake. I learned to drive clutched vehicles starting around 5 or 6 on our 1952 Ford 8N farm tractor. I couldn't reach the pedles so I would just stand up and put my weight down on the clutch pedal to push the clutch in. I started riding dirtbikes when I was 10. First car I drove was a 1985 911 that my grandad had in his shop. I was fine in it and any other manual car I have been in since. Tractor taught me a lot. As for the '52 well we sold it and upgraded when i was 10 or so...to a '53 lol

thats it for me.

I started when I got my learners license and i was driving my dads 2001 civic.
My brother gave me his Kia Rio when I turned 16 and I started driving that bymyself.
6 months later he needed it back so I gave it to him and I ended up with a 93 eclipse 1.8 BASE model with a whole woppin 88 horsepower.

Was quite dangerous driving by myself with 88 HP. Couldn't get out of traffics way :(

Actually, the very first car I had any experience with driving manual transmission was one of these...a Maruti Esteem which is basically a Suzuki Cultus, or a Geo Metro as we know it here.

It was a 1994 escort foe doe that my grandma traded me for my 91 foe doe civic auto. She traded that in and got like $500. I had to learn on a busy ass road in newnan and then go on I-85 all the way to Unioncity, lets just say there were a few close calls.

Not a joke, my dad's 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10. I was so scared at 15, with a loud ass exhaust, oh yeah...it was winter in a parking lot and I was scared out of my mind. I picked up on it rather quickly.
