when i was a volunteer firefighter 4 years ago a 5 year old kid died on christmas eve and i didnt have a car. it took 30 minutes for anyone to sign on to the call when i could have been there with a partner in 4 minutes with air packs to go in. i believe to this day that if i had taken my parents car that he could have been saved and that its my fault for him dying for not taking there car and doing what i was trained to do.
