In process pictures of a Dodge Dakota. We are putting a set of Hybrid Audio L4 midrange speakers in the kick panels. The speakers are mounted to a 3/4" MDF baffle that was covered in Stinger Roadkill sound damping, as well as acoustical foam. The air space behind the speaker is vented into the frame rail of the truck.
The MDF (wood) you see is the framework for a press-fit grill. The kick panel will get wrapped in vinyl, while the opening will have metal mesh to protect the speaker, and be covered in grey grill cloth.
