ill check and change. thanks ,the car has vtec but doesnt pull like it supose to and it engages in diff. rpm's

any cel? is it hitting vtec @ different rpm under the exact same conditions (wot, temp, etc), or does vtec rpm change based on varying throttle position?

not pulling the same in vtec could mean you have one of the cams out of time when you did the belt...double check that. you may have 2 different problems unrelated to your issues.

check:
1. cel
2. cam timing
3. oil level
4. jump vtec solenoid directly to see if it kicks everytime you jump it
5. check oil pressure @ from orifice on the head to make sure you have plenty of pressure
6. check to make sure the oil pan isn't dented and too close to the pickup

one thing everyone forgot to mention. Is your oil pan dented in? If so You might want to check your oil pickup.

ok so today i fixed the dent in the oil pan as well as pick tube it should be getting enough oil now, but it still dnt pull hard dnt even chirp 2ndnow im lost dnt know wat to think of next,now it kicks in at 4200 and 5800 any help.
