ok so im a na guy thinking of going with alil boost. quick rundow of my set up, crower 404's duel valve springs, flat faced valves, skunk2 pro manifold 68mm tb, sk2 fuel rail 330 injectors, ported polished 3 angle valve job, p73 jdm piston, stock shot peend rods, block guard. can i run 5-8 lbs of boost on 92 octain dd??? edit its on a b18a1 and i belive its at 11.5:1 comp now do i need bigger injectors to do this??

i think youd be better off spraying

I'd take a wild guess those injectors are good for 200hp max...

x2, +/- 25hp

Not to mention 11.5:1 compression with a turbo will probably require at least 100 octane. Anyone make thicker head gaskets for Honda's to lower the compression? Not layering them put a true machined spacer...

do you have any idea what one layer of mls head gasket will do to compression ratio.... theres a huge difference between 2 and 3 layer mls....

a machined space would be like....... 6 to one compression.... after having two gaskets and a hunk of metal inbetween.....

shit a .035 and a .070 compressed thichness is the difference between something like 8:1 and 9.4:1 on my build....

to the op..... my two cents is to go 255 fuel pump and a small shot of gas...

I'm gonna be running a 0.140" MLS on mine.

Something can be machined paper thin you know.

you could boost that 8psi max and u will need bigger injecters and 225 fuel pump, would make good power and throttle response would be kick ass, u would need a good headgasket and head studs

yeah i say go with like a 5 layer head gasket and arp head studs and go for it. i am thinking of doing the same with my 10.8:1 ls basically the same things done to it. i have crower 404s and ported and polished head and pr3 pistons. i am thinking about 5-7 lbs of boost will be a blast. it may not last long. but tuning is your best friend u will definatly need bigger injectors.

you can boost with high compression i just hope you got the money for the tune cause man that a very sentive build man i say go for man but make you get great tune man that is the biggest key man but personaly if you want my opinion i would spray this build just my two sent

i say boost fuck the bullshit , boost it or go home , but the tune is the key and stay out the peadel and it will last aslong as u want

I think the only problem you have is the stock pistons. If it had forged pistons and was 11.5 to 1 compression then I would say boost it and have fun. Personally I would prefer to do like 10.5/11.0 to 1 compression for a fun street car. Like everyone said it's all in the tune but I just think the stock piston ring lands are too weak.
