I am trying to find out what Size of battery needs to go in a Ford F250 Club Wagon Van. Motor is a 7.5liter 460 Engine. It had a small car battery in it when bought and Killed it.

i called them and they said they had no record of that part number:thinking:
They told me it needed a 560 amp with 730 cca

Who did you call. autozones part number is 65-d group battery if you called and they don't know that group battery they are idiots... But to make your life easier dealing with dumbasses
tell them you need a battery for a 2000 f150 its the same battery just be sure to get the good one, I like autozones gold one, they run around 100 bucks though but worth the extra power

I worked for autozone,advance, and napa and I always knew what a 65 group battery, But I wasnt a kid, or a women in a parts store I knew what the hell I was doing! That is why I got smart and left to make more money ..... 19 bucks an hour to deal with that bs was not worth it, now I make 35 bucks an hour

IMO if your gonna pony up the $100 for that battery, spend a few more and get an Optima

I hate Optima batterys!!


Over rated and its not a few more dollars either they run 200 bucks with tax, a good one at the ZONE is 100 bucks with tax

Never had an issue with any of mine. Its all that we used in Alaska where it was cold as fuck during the winter and you can get them at Summit Racing for $150 iirc.

On the 65 group I always gets the 1000 cca
