im new to atlanta ( just moved to new orleans ) and i was wondering if there were any turboed galants here?

i have a 2000 4g64 with a small 16g smic off a first gen eclipse, E-01 boost controller.

hmmm....4g64 aren't the stock motor on that car are they? did you put a dohc head on it yet?

im about to do a 3rd gen eclipse manual swap, and do the evo 7 head. All the 8th gen galants (1999-2003) came auto. The galant is making about 200whp and 225 wtq. it has some exhaust issues right now B/c of some pace setter header i bought. but about 4 months ago it ran a 15.9 burning out all thought first. but i hook up alot better on the street, thats y i beat 14 second cars. and as far as the boost goes im at 7.5 psi and i beat 2 gen eclipses at 12 psi.

but all the 4g63 stuff bolts up to the 4g64 block and head the same. So you know. Its rather easy to turbo a NT spyder

If you have a 4g64 in there I would not be putting a 3g engine in there and I'm guessing those eclipses were N/A converts.

yes I know, but he has a galant (not sure where the spyder part came into play) and I didn't think they (galants) came with 4g64's in them. Because if it did have a 4g64 in it I would build the block and swap a dohc (4g63 head) conversion and have a nice 2.4 tubo engine....but that's just me.

the galant came stock with 4g64s or 6g72s same as the 3ed gen eclipse

I missed the part where you said you already had the evo head (oops). Sounds like you have a good start on a nice setup there, but you need to upgrade that turbo, it is way too small for your motor.

ive taled to u before. From what ive herad u run 10s and ive met u before. i really like ur vr4 and i should be as fast as u soon.

Its at least 7's. I'm just working on my cage. Getting kicked out of Commerce with that 176 mph trap sucked.

that's because his TH400 tranny just wouldn't hold up... it lost line pressure and blew an apex seal.

2000 gvr-4's brought over from Japan in 1991. I have 1439 out of 2000. Plaque on the dash and keychain.
