i have a quick offset/tire question. i know that if i have a 15x8" wheel with a 0 offset i need to run a 195 45 15 tire. the wheel that im looking at is a 15x7" with a +10 offset and im wondering if i would be ok if i ran a 195 55 15 tire and be ok. any help would be great.

offset will not matter what size tire you run. it will just have a bigger sidewall. compared to the other tires

LOL why the hell would you stretch a tire on a 7 inch rim?!

Some people even run 205's on 7 inch wide wheels.

205/50/15 if you want a beefier look
195/45/15 if you want a regular low profile but still filling the gap look.

but it still depends what car you're putting them on, whether its going to look good or not.

Why the hell would you stretch a tire on any rim? Ohh yeah cause people like the looks. However it serves no purpose at all lol.

if you have a 15x8 wheel go with a 225 wide tire or it will look funny why pay for extra wheel if you are not going to use it

oh and stretched tire does have a purpose it will help you bend up your wheel super fast

it doesnt matter how wide the wheel is. the normal offset for my car is about +40 im looking to run +10 which is lower. im going to run a 195 but i wanted to know if i could run a 55 series.

Offset has nothing to do with how streched the tire is. Offset will widen the stance of the wheel on the car, but not affect the tire.

I 55 series will be a taller sidewall than a 50 series. If you are looking to get that streched tire look, run a wider wheel, narrower tire, and lower profile tire.

Keep in mind, these extreme tire streches are cool to look at, but make the tire very fragile and it will not operate as intended. A sidewall is part of the casing structure and designed to function at a certain angle. This is why most tire application guides have a "suggested wheel width" section.

been there and done that. i've already had a setup like that. im not looking for a stretch look i want to fit the wheels on the tires that i have end of story. due the the fact that the wheel is a +10 offset it pushes the wheel more towards the fender.

if your going to do 15x7 wheel then you should go with a 195/50/15,195/55/15 or 205/50/15... if your going to do a 15x8 wheel then you need to do a 195/45/15...
if you want a idea of what 195/45's look like on a 15x8 wheel here you go
