Srt4's are lame!! Cost to much to mod and to get fixed WHEN they break!! They are Dodges you know. Go with a Honda they are unbeatable in relyability and mods are everywhere for the LOW!!! Plus MPG is gonna be way BETTER!!! Just sayin IMO!!

srt-4

boost from the factory is always a win

What do yuo want out of a car? I know you said daily driven, but an SRT and an EP are two completely different cars. Out of the two, I'd say go with the SI if you just want a semi-fun and reliable daily driver. But with a budget up to 11k, you have a huge range of cars to choose from.

exactly any reccomndations ? pppplease lol

well i drive 70miles daily and would like to drive an attractive ,fast, reliable car lol

Srt-4's are good cars. I love boost so my vote goes to it.

When you want to get on it the power is there. Also adding small things like hard piping exhaust and a tune and your 20 to 30hp up than stock. Sorry but you can do that with a honda. Don't get me wrong the last 5 cars I have owned have been honda's but in this case I would get the srt-4

Hard choice, the SRT-4 as Jihad said would be much easier to make quicker, they're not bad cars, easy to DD, good power when you want it, but it's a Neon lol and Amurkan.

If it were me I'd PROBABLY choose the Civic because I like the way those look and they're fun to drive.

I can't say FOR SURE I'd go with the Honda though.

Also keep in mind that Simon is a HUGE N/A fan and I am a HUGE boost fan.

but we tend to meet in the middle by fuckin in the butt.

Personally I wouldnt want to have anything boosted and drive 70 miles daily. Just seems like too much driving and wear and tear on the turbo. If your budget is up to 11k like you said, you can find RSX-S's pretty easy and even s2ks now as far as hondas go.

Like I said, explain what you want in a car besides reliability and fun so people can over other suggestions. The SRT is 4dr, the SI is a hatch. Does the amount of doors/room matter, mpg, etc?

Yeah 11k is a good chunk of change. S2K or Rsx-S for sure. Fun, reliable and cheap mods. Again MPG and durability is a factor as well. I say go drive a couple different cars and see what you think. Good luck

It's funny when people start making up info on subjects they don't have even have a clue about. LOL.

My SRT-4 was bought brand new back in 2005. Five months later, it was making 340+ whp 340+ wtq and was pulling 12.2 second 1/4 mile ETs and trapping 117+ MPH. Fast forward to October 2009 at Import Face-Off, my SRT-4 was still pulling 12.0 runs and trapping 118 MPH and that is with a 200 lbs. heavier race weight and 157,000+ miles on the odometer. My car is in the driveway now with 160,000+ miles on the odometer.

The only time my car was ever down was when my tranny broke and that was after 230+ runs at the drag strips. As much as I had beat on the car by that time, something was bound to break.

How is all that ↑↑↑ for reliability from someone who actually owns a SRT-4? :D

As for fuel economy, I travel 60 miles round trip to work and average 25-27 MPG. My commute is straight down Hwy. 316 if it matters. If you don't know that highway, it is full of traffic and traffic lights. I do admit that when I get off from work at 4 AM, the only obstacles are only the traffic lights. The road trips to California I make every year, my car averages 29-33 MPG. Fuel economy in a SRT-4 isn't bad at all.

All of this was accomplished with my car having a simple bolt-on turbo kit (Mopar Stage 3) and absolutely zero tuning. I don't even have a boost controller, a wideband controller, or a fancy-schmancy blow-off valve on my car. My car is as quiet as a stock SRT-4 when it blows off since I'm still on stock parts. LOL. Ask the guys at Mainstream, Zen, Lethal Injection, etc..., they know my car pretty well.

Also, keep in mind about the theft rate of the vehicles. No one wants a POS Dodge. LOL. That is one of the main reasons that kept me away from the theft prone Honda/Acura models.

Lol you have a point. You'd hate to spend 11K on a Honda and get it stolen or worry about it getting stolen constantly.

X2 if it is only between these two cars but like somebody else said in this thread, with an 11k budget, you could get alot of different things. With that budget I would get a WRX.

srt4 over the ugliest civic ever mad. it looks like a damn egg and is slow as crap. i like the feel of the srt from teh factory, good torque from the 2.5 and they sound awesome. and my friend has one and he put 140,xxx miles on it and hasnt had any real issues except stuff he messed up himself.

That being said, it was a hoot to drive and easy to own.

I'm not disagreeing with you necessarily, but I have never once worried about my Fit or for that matter, my EP being stolen. :dunno:

But I suppose that's what full coverage is for.

Just checked autotrader and there are plenty of base WRXs for 11k or less. Not an STI, but still a good car and fits all your descriptions of what you want. There are several new-ish audis if you like that look. 2001 A4 quattros for 8k. You can also get some nice looking BMW sedans for 11k like someone else said. I like the Jetta/Golf and SRT-4 too, don't get me wrong. Just trying to throw out some options. Just type the criteria you want into autotrader with an 11k max and look around.
