damn that sucks hard. I would have been pissed.Yeah, they lost about $6k worth of stuff on my way to Alaska. I was there for 5 weeks and had to buy all new things. This was 5 months ago and I'm hopefully getting reimbursed soon.

At least it wasn't one of my "luxury" pieces.

Yeah man, I'm into watches, especially swiss ones :goodjob:

I have had a couple Seiko Chronographs that I enjoyed.... But the only swiss watch I've had was a Victorinox... i mean it was fairly nice and all, but I'd really like to get my hands on a nice Tag :D

It's all what you like, not the brand(to an extent, some companies make a shitty product) or the price. Any pics of your pieces? Also, I'd sell my Tag for a good price. Comes with boxes and papers.

a buddy of mine and his brother were avid collectors, several top $ examples, but I think some of the neater ones were the Luminox Navy Seals watch (tough swiss watch right there), and one of the first models of the Seiko Kinetic series (with the clear back casing, it was so cool seeing how it all worked for the first time, LOL), and then the Seiko with the Perpetual Calendar was a neat concept as well

We'll see if a few more people chime in. As for the Monaco, I'm not into square watches either(anymore). I haven't worn that watch in probably a year. lol

you should get a metal link band for it, maybe something a little heavier looking. would probably make it better. then again, im not a huge leather strap fan either. lol

my grand dad has a rolex with radioactive paint on the dial..... he told me a story of it.

something about how the women in the rolex factory used to lick the wick of the paintbrush to get a fine point before dipping the brush into the paint to make the dashes.....

and how it was dangerous to sleep with it on....

its old as hell but still in the case it came in kinda like a cigar box.

not sure if its worth alot but neat none the less

have you left it in the light for a few hours and then tried to take it into the dark? Here ya, guys. I found a little bit of info...

TRITIUM(which was safer) replaced RADIUM(too lethal radioactive) from as early as 1958 or 1959...
BUT there was NO Regulation yet at the time...
requiring ROLEX to mark the TRITIUM usage on Dial n Hands...

While this was going on...some OLD stocks of Dials were made
(marked with GILT "SWISS")...
which could easily be mistaken that the Dial might still have...
the lethal radioactive RADIUM on the Dial markers n hands...

Therefore...ROLEX decided to mark the remaining stocks of Dials(marked with GILT "SWISS")...
which was in smaller quantity to begin with...with the "Underline" in White(or Silver) paint...or in Black paint...
on the Dials(Top Half or Bottom Half regardless)...with or without...
DOUBLE "T" on each sides of the existing GILT "SWISS" on the Dial...
or...additional marking of "SWISS" in White(or Silver) paint...
above or next to...the existing GILT "SWISS" under the 6 o'clock markers...

Subsequently by the Later 50s n Early 60s...
might be from 1959 to 1963 or so roughly...
A LAW was passed requiring ALL watch makers(including Omega etc etc)...
n ROLEX to mark the usage of SAFER Tritium...
on the Dial markers n Hands...with the early use of the Symbol "T"...
or later on with "SWISS-T<25"... or "T SWISS T"...or "T SWISS T<25"...or "T SWISS MADE T"...etc etc.

So From then onwards until 1998 or so...ALL Rolex Dials started to be marked accordingly as above...
to indicate the usage of the SAFER Tritium on Dial markers n Hands...

Having said the above...Orchi also thinks that...
these days when a Dial is found to have...
the RARE "Underline" on the Dial...
it would NOT have the RARE "Exclamation Point" under the 6 o'clock marker...

n THOSE Dials of the SIMILAR era...which is found to have the RARE "Exclamation Point"...
it would NOT have the RARE "Underline" on the Dial...

Nevertheless...there may come a time...
or perhaps someone might possess a ROLEX Dial that has...
BOTH the RARE "Underline" & the RARE "Exclamation Point" on the SAME Dial...???

DOUBLE RARE "Underline" & "Exclamation Point" Dial -
If someone possesses this type of Dial already...

Please post your RARE "Underline" Dials...
or your "Exclamation Point" Dials...

Mainly because they copy everyone and are know to be cheaply made. With that being said, this is the first Invicta S1 that popped up when I Google searched. Pretty dope! lol

I have a thing for watches.. my dad was obsessed with watches and had a few rolexs, one of which i inherited but has been in storage ever since. It was bought by my grand-dad in europe (he was portuguese) and passed on to my dad.

My next purchase will be a Citizen, as I was eyeballing soem at the local jewler.. I cant find a picture, but it was ridiculously nice.. and had an MSRP of 695..

but currently i wear a relic, lol. its obviously been discontinued, lol. im sure the 12 year warranty will be void when the company goes under..

I love watches too. My next watch will be a breitling. Not sure which one but most likely the super avenger. I have a bunch of watches but the only one I consider a real watch is my Hamilton X-wind. I only like big watches. Anything less than 44mm is too small for me.

No I don't but I'll check him out. It would probably be pretty hard to make a strap for my watch though. The way the strap is made from Hamilton kinda 'hugs' the watch. It's hard to describe but if you look at a picture you'll know what I'm talking about. My watch is the black and red one with the black strap and red stitching for reference.
