After many months of soul-searching, I finally found the one for me. Met her last night and made her mine this morning. It is a Smith and Wesson Model 629 .44 Magnum. 6 shot with an 8-3/8" barrel. Been wanting to start hunting again and decided to get back into it with a handgun. Chose the .44 because the ammo is very easy to find. Was planning on buying a pistol scope for it, but I think I may just hunt with the open iron sights.

I shoot handguns religiously. I am at the range multiple times per week. I would not even attempt to shoot an animal if I wasn't confident I'd hit a kill zone. Not a beginner to shooting or hunting by any means. Had a .44 mag with scope that I use to hunt with and really enjoyed it. Just want to get back into handgun hunting. Haven't done any non-bird hunting in over a year. Probably only going to be used for hog hunting. Definitely won't be putting a scope on this one. If I can't make out a clear kill shot, I won't take it.
