i have a 87 golf gti 16v dohc and i cant find the 5th gear? do i need a new tranny ? or is it something else causing that problem ?also after it heats up it backfires and loses power and turns of i herd it was either the spark plugs or the distributer cap...any ideas of what it can be ?
