The SEC College Football Season comes to an climax this weekend in the Florida v Alabama championship game in Atlanta. The son of Chuck Norris, Tim Tebow will face an Alabama team aching for revenge after last year's SEC championship loss to the same unholy lord of college football. Face it, even though Tebow spends his free time preaching to the incarcerated, curing cancer (I assume), trimming the foreskin of the impoverished, and keeping the planets properly aligned by toting the earth around the sun to keep it in its proper orbit; on the field he's not nearly so generous. On the field he dominates. Just ask him. He'll tell you over and over again.

In honor of Tebow's sheer awesomeness, I give you the Tebow SEC Championship Drinking Game!

* Drink every time Tebow is called "a warrior." Bonus chug if any of your friends sing the chorus of Scandal's opus "I am a warrior" and change the lyrics to "Tebow is..."
* Drink every time Tebow's called "a leader," then salute.
* Drink every time Tebow's called a "special athlete," then yell "Tiiiimmmmmmmmay!"
* Finish your drink if the announcers suggest Tebow should win the Heisman again this year.
* Drink every time Tebow points to the sky. Then realize the only reason the sky hasn't fallen is the strength of his pointing.
* Drink every time Tebow references God. Or himself.
* Drink every time he's shown on the sidelines flapping his arms like a bird (or an idiot) to pump up the crowd.
* If (when) Tebow actually takes flight, finish your drink and do a shot.
* Drink every time Tebow's on camera for no reason when the Florida defense is on the field.
* Drink every time Tebow is seen screaming with his helmet off.
* Drink every time they show a "I Heart Tebow" sign in the stands.
* Drink every time you see a Florida fan in jorts. (Small sips on this one.
Otherwise it could kill you).
* Shot every time they mention his experience as missionary.
* If they mention him performing circumcisions in the Philippines while he was a missionary - Chug your beer, do a shot of Patron.

**If Alabama wins and Tebow gives a tearful speech in the post-game press conference, give the television the bird, turn up your bottle of Jim Beam, and don't stop drinking OR flipping off the TV till Tebow runs out of tears. Then throw the empty bottle(s) through the television and quote the good book by saying "the Terrence Cody falls upon the just and the unjust alike!" Club a baby seal and start prepping for Texas.

(Disclaimer: Playing the Tebow drinking game may will result in death. So don't do it. Ever. Not even in jest. The content above this disclaimer is a joke, not a suggestion. If you're dumb enough to do it, just pray Tebow is nearby. Only he can save you.)

Yea the CBS announcers pay "lip service" to Tebow so often its pretty bad. I would like to have some respect for Tebow, but the media has pushed me to the point that I laughed when he was out cold.

you laughed when a college athlete got knocked unconscious? classy. Is it Tebow's fault, other than his play, that he gets this much coverage? No. He is just one of the best college football players of all time. The media coverage drives me nuts too, but it's not his fault that ESPN has turned into a tabloid for sports.

Yea I laughed and I explained why. I couldn't care less about you think is classy or nice.

As far as Tebow being among the best, I don't think he even comes close. There are al least 4 QBs that are currently in CFB that are better than Tebow. That number doesn't even include the pure pocket passers. Tebow is just the most hyped.

I think Tebow is a good athlete, but I don't know if I would say he is the best of all time.

Btw, go 'Bama!

well let me phrase it this way, if they win the National Championship, he will go down as one of the winningest QB's in college football history. Which most would say makes him among the best.

Colt McCoy has the recod for most wins as a starting Qb, does that make him the best QB to ever play?

After this season, the same number as Tebow but I fail to see what either of those have to do with it. Heisman has long stopped being about the best player and is more of a populaity contest. A NC has never been an individual award or acheivement.

I think he's overly hyped and covered by the media too much as well. But I don't see how you can't see him as one of the best QBs in college. Name me any other QB in the nation that you think is better than Tebow that has helped his team win 2 national championships, led his team to 22 straight victories, 3 conference Championship games while breaking long held records along the way, and has won a Heisman or been in the running for the Heisman for 3 straight years.

I never said he wasnt one of the best currently in CFB, only that he isnt the best all time. What I saw from Florida this year was a pathetically easy schedule where the marquis win is against an average, at best, LSU team. No OOC games that were worth anything. An IC schedule that missed the best 2 teams in the conference. Not to mention suspect officiating in the game vs Ark that directly led to their win there.

This will also be the third straight year McCoy has been in the heisman convo. The only reason Tebow won it in 07 was because of injuries to every other contender. Dennis Dixon had it completely locked up until he went down to injury.
