no he is white, it's just the contrast of the picture that makes him look black.

how exactly are france cheaters? because of a handball? Because of a handball that Henry himself said he wanted to replay the game for?

Yes - blatter + france = cheaters!!!

the team that advances due to handball then happens to get the easiest draw :lmfao:

so how did they cheat?

it's not their fault. the blame goes on the referee, he wasn't doing his job.

exactly. And it's not the first handball call that has ever been missed.

Paul

so how did they cheat?

henry used a handball to help france score, denied doing it at first claiming not a cheater but then it clearly showed he did... then fifa pres Blatter laughed at Ireland request to replay or possible 33rd team.

actually blame is on FIFA for not having the balls to make a decent ruling and now giving them the easiest group... :tongue1:

no but considering this is the biggest sporting event in the world the governing body should do just that govern rulings that support fair play with use of extra refs or replay, etc... fifa even turned down extra refs for WC b/c they are fucking pussies.

they used a handball to win a game. i play soccer and if another team did that to mine we would call them cheaters. refs can't see everything as there are only 4 and at best an official is within 15-20 yards of a player (approx most of the game) w/ the ball not including there are two full squads obstructing views... i'm a barca fan and i still think henry is a cheater after that.

you have never hit the ball with your hand as a reflex?

Njobe
12-04-2009, 04:29 PM
you do whatever it takes to win. that's why you have refs, to catch the dirty stuff that goes on. he saw a opportunity and he used it. it's on the ref for not catching the handball after all the people that were sitting on the roof could clearly see it.

think of it this way, if a WR runs out of bounds on his route without being forced out, comes back in, and catches the game winning td pass, do you really think he is going to tell the ref that play was illegal and should be called back? Hell no. No athlete would.

Or how they made a statement saying "what would a World Cup be without Messi and Christiano." Then putting the crappiest people to ref Portugal vs Bosnia, in which there were several bullshit yellows given out to the Bosnian side and one red which wasn't even called for from the refs.

Fifa is full of shit, and they know it. They chose who they want to play who, the drawings are set up just to give the public some excitement.

and honestly, France got lucky. They were outplayed and just got lucky. They will never be what they used to be, bunch of old washed up players.

Fifa doesn't give a crap if someone is coming up with a lot of talent, all they want to see in the WC is teams who've been there before and came close to winning/won because they know that generates money for them.

Truth be told they're pissed off that teams like Sweden and Russia got knocked out.

That too, basically they got lucky that the referees acted like they didn't see anything wrong. If that made any sense what so ever.

I still don't get it why you guys are calling a hand ball cheating. It's against the rules. Yes. But it was a reaction move by Henry, which many footballers do all the time. It happens. I seriously doubt that Henry went into the game thinking, "If I get a chance to, I'm gonna slap the ball down with my hand and pass it to my teammate so we can win." Good lord. You act like this is the first bad call in the history of sports ever.

it was far from reaction... lets be realistic guy is on the goal line w/ ball going out and he used is palm of his hand to put in play; thats cheating. it just pisses me off it was henry b/c i'm a barca fan. i'm glad we got ibra now

this is SOCCER and they are PROFESSIONAL, they dont accidentally hit balls with their hands on a real live game.

just like pro football WR's are supposed to catch the ball, but they drop it. Or pro QB's aren't supposed to throw the ball to the other team. Or pro baseball players aren't supposed to make errors. Just like those right?

You can clearly see him taking his time to stop the ball. Everyone knows FIFA cheats and so did France. I wish they would invent a playback for situations like this. And also if it was just a reaction/accident, why was France penalized for what Henry did?

ever see a guy in the NFL commit a late hit on a guy when he was probably just caught up in the moment, and later got fined by the nfl?
