Which ones didn't? I saw an S2K the other day with normal halogens.

bulbs probably blew.So it's easier to remove ballasts and rewire for ordinary halogens?

You may have seen a 2006+ with the DRLs (daytime running lamps) on. On my car, if I don't actually switch the headlights on, the DRLs come on automatically. The DRL for this car involves using the high beams on a low setting. So it may look like the car has halogens, because the high beams are simple halogen lights. I personally loathe that look, so I always turn on my HIDs when I am in the car.

If you do that, I believe an error light would come on. It really isn't that hard to just turn on the lights when I get in the car.
