So I sold my SC on the forums. I shipped it UPS to a guy on here. I insured it for $2,500. He received the shipment but the actual blower was missing out of the box. So I filed a claim got all the paperwork going. Sent him all the back up and told him that what was left in the box is pointless so I want to file for the full amount. They keep asking me for the winning bid page. I have sent them the paypal sheet where he paid me and the FS thread. This was his last email to me.
UPS WANTS SOMETHING SHOWING WHAT THE ITIEM SOLD FOR THAT IS SHOWN ON A WINNING BID. IS THERE ANYTHING LIKE THAT AVAILABLE. THAT'S WHAT WE NEED. THANKS.
I don't know what else to send to UPS.
Any thoughts?

do you have the receipt from when you originally bought the SC?

Watch the same or similar supercharger on Ebay. When the auction ends, print the page showing it ended. Change the date, and price to reflect what you want (either in photoshop, or the manual way=tape numbers on the page, and make a copy. Give to UPS.

That is an absolutely terrible idea.
OP, you or the buyer need to explain to UPS that the item was not sold/purchased through Ebay or some sort of bidding site. It was essentially a private party sale and that you've already sent them everything you have to prove the transaction/sale.

You sent it insured so there is no reason why the blower isn't missing.
Also, the UPS people have to transfer the package and re-scan it every time and make sure the description is the same (insurance, box measurements, and weight of the product.) I'm pretty sure the UPS guy is not dumb enough to carry something weighing paperless to a house that's supposed to weight 200 lbs.
This guy is trying to scam you obviously.

It is what it is now. I'm not going to push for it anymore if UPS gives me money for the claim i'll send the money to him and let him deal with himself.

damn ben, that just doesnt seem right. first off, how in the hell would anyone at ups know that there is a blower in the box? seems like that dude is shady as hell and is trying to get a blower for free

Uh, yea. UPS guys should know to check the final scan before it went out for delivery to see the weight. If it still weighed 100lbs this dude should be arrested!!

Did the buyer indicate as to whether the package looked like it had been opened then retaped? Any damage to the packaging? Has he sent you any pictures of what the packaging looked like when it was delivered?
Like someone else has already mentioned, the blower itself is probably the heaviest item in the box and would definitely be able to tell if something was missing unless the UPS driver was just negligent and wasn't paying attention. That's always a slim possibility as well. I just don't get why only the blower would be missing, especially if the box was not damaged.
That's a tough call to make man. You mentioned that the buyer is on this board so he's relatively close? Why didn't he just meet up with you instead of having it shipped? That's what I would have done if it were me.

Be prepared for this tool to do a chargeback. As much as i hate using paypal, almost everyone uses it for payment. I hear Google checkout is better and may have to start looking into it..GL
