Violent steering wheel shaking during braking in an 04 Maxima.

Possible issues?

Probably a warped rotor... usually when they warp bad enough to cause violent shaking its past the limit to which they can be turned.

Did you drive through standing water recently? Thats what usually causes them to warp.

^yea if its really bad then just buy new one's they are usually pretty cheap:goodjob:

No, I actually just bought the car, but didn't notice it on the 2 test drives I took. Very odd, but I am calling the dealership now.

^dealership will be expensive, unless its under warrenty or something... Year??? Check all your wheels first make sure none are loose, if they aren't then rotors.....

Well, since i just bought it, I'm going to see if they will "fix" the issue.

If not, I will proceed to check wheels and rotors.
