Hey guys didnt know where to post this but I was just wondering if getting my dryer fixed is worth it than buying a new one, the only problem is that it runs but doesnt heat up, does anybody know a local repair man also? thanks alot fellas

how old is it???? I mean they aren't that much $500-800 new, or u can get them cheap on craigslist used.....

true but dryers are pretty easy to fix i use to be a appliance tech.... most dryer parts are cheap .. and if u can work on cars u can work on dryer lol :goodjob:



how old is it???? I mean they aren't that much $500-800 new, or u can get them cheap on craigslist used.....

yea I heard they were pretty easy to fix but I dont want to messed it up even more, Im just glad its the dryer and not the washer, but its a pretty old model Kenmore, it would be very appricated if you can do something buddy and we can work something out

well i live prolly to far away but if you have a multi meter pull the back off and u will see the heat element on the right and set your multi meter to ohms and check the wires continuity to the element and should be a small sensor right above on the element you check if there good....if they are good ....... there is two wires i think one is purple going to a while oval piece in the bottom left if no good you can wire those two together and should heat back up i will see if i can find a diagram for it or something similar .. or you can also google it ....

the white oval piece im talking about is called the thermal fuse u can delete that and wire those two together if element is good

since 500-800 isnt that much for u. let me hold 700.
