hey heard of this site when I was buying my T2 motor from a guy in ATL...I have a 88rx7 vert although I am now looking for a s4 roller. My vert is just too clean to really play with and I'd like to keep it looking nice but I might just finish up my T2 swap and call it a day. I live in the middle of nowhere, AL but I come over to ATL a few times a month probably to hang out with my boy roger.

Don't be afraid to drive it man! The whole point of owning awesome cars is to drive them IMOP. Who cares if it gets a little banged up, I would rather drive my car and get door knicks and rock chips all over the place than have it sit in the garage. RX7 convertibles are sweet as hell, drive it every chance you get!

I'm not afraid to drive it at all...I've been to a few drift sessions with some buddies while living in FL. I just want something I can strip and have basically 2 seats and lot of power. I guess I want to keep the vert as a daily and have something to take to the track. I just found a shell today so I think I'm going to pick it up really soon ;) I have a lot of work ahead of me because it's a base model so I'm going to have to do a 5-lug swap LSD rearend and gut it. Not to mention drop in the T2 motor. I'm going to try and see how much power the N/A drivetrain can handle before I go full T2 drivetrain just to get an idea of how much power I want out of my vert as that will have a T2 motor as well but in stock trim. Any Rotary heads in here?

Good to hear, it just seems like today most people would rather own a bad ass sports car rather than drive one. Good luck with the build!

it's a girl that has been trying to come out since she was 7months...After driving two hours to get to the hospital a couple of times for false alarms I decided thatI would just make it AFTER the baby is born.

HEFLIN!!?

my room mate in college was from heflin. i remember staying at his house one weekend and every time we would drive around i honked at ANYBODY i could find.... and they always waved back... weirdest/funniest thing ive seen.

im from huntsville BTW.

and i would suggest someway to prevent boost creep with that 3in down pipe.

i just had a 2.5in i got out of a TII that we bought from a junkyard and scrapped. and that damn factory turbo STILL made 17psi under load on a dyno and chipped apex seals. so now we got it rebuilt and are awaiting the time to break it in and put that hx40 on it :)

I ported my stock wastegate and welded a washer onto the stock flap for the larger hole. Who rebuilt your motor? I have another longblock laying around here and I want to rebuild it but I have very little knowledge on what to do so I've been reading a lot. I'll probably undertake the rebuild late Jan. or Feb. once I read a lot more and get some videos. What are you using to tune?
