How effective are killswitches??

Could anybody explain to me about these things..What if,the theif knows you have one,and rips the killswitch from the ecu?After ripping it out,would he be able to start the car?Any info would help,as I am going to DEFINETELY get one after my car was stolen last week.

But,what if they were to just rip out the killswitch..Does that mean they cannot start it once it's taken out?And is a killswitch for the fuel pump also connected to the ecu?Does it help to have 2 killswitches?

killswitch can save you,all it is-is a way of cutting off power to a pump or relay or ignition to prevent theft you can killswitch almost anything on the car

Think like a thief - there are LOTS of stupid ass people out there w/ NO security. When a theif encounters things that make it harder and increase how long it takes them to get the car they usually move on. It's a deterrent.

its soo good that when you have one on...and your nearly out of gas..you try to jump start the damn car, but its actually your kills witch that you installed and turned on...and even you forgot that you got a kill switch.

The only thing to me that works is... Don't run your car unless you have to... I had people follow me but they get caught out there cause I would go in a circle before I get home... On top of that no one knows where I live.. plus I don't drive hard on the street for anybody to think my car is fast... Basically stay low key with your car and you dont have to worry about them...
