SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD.
I go through cars too often but I can't help it. So i'm tossing up my 4Runner.
FOUND SOMETHING I WANT. PRICE DROP $3500.00.
87 Toyota 4Runner.
Lift off rear top. Doesn't leak far as I know. If it does, i'll give you the number to Moses and he can part any seas that form in it.
Body is in great shape minus the tailgate. It has a dent in it. Me personally, I don't care cause this is a truck....not a Pansywagon.
Has lift on it. I think 7 inches total. It has no classic rear droopy butt like most 4Runners do. It sits right like it should.
Almost new 33 inch tires for climbing Mt Everest...with Midgets in the back because lets face it, Midgets are freaking cool.
TRD cam. Specs on on a sticker under the hood.
Front mount. Yummy cause it's got Cherries on it.
Interior is in not too bad shape. It has a 300ZX seat in it which if you have old man balls like me, tends to hurt going over the bolster if you don't situate your package right. Ouch!
3 inch to 4 inch exhaust. This thing is so big that a fart can is inline as a muffler. Makes women weak in the knees. You have to get your own Weak Kneed Woman insurance so they don't sue you when their panties go liquid and they fall to the sidewalk when you drive by.
New Radiator...Woot Woot!
Now to the gritty.
It is tuned by the MAF. I have people say its great, I have people say it aint so great. It runs for me, builds boost fine and seems to be working as intended. I just drove it to the mountains last weekend and it is my weekend daily.
The idle is high. It has a TRD cam in it, the specs are on a sticker under the hood. I think the idle speed sensor is going out, but not sure.
Clutch slips when you get in boost in higher gears. You have to be on it to get it to do it, daily driving doesn't trigger it. But it's there just so you know when you get all Convoy on it.
Think it needs a front end alighment. I'm anal like that, if it pulls any which way, needs an alignment.
This thing is a beast. It is fun to drive, turns heads when they hear the "Flup flup" sound of the wastegate. Gets questions everytime someone recognizes the front mount. People love it. The exhaust is nasty big and nasty loud. Hearing the turbo spool through it just gives me a hard on every time I go somewhere. At least a 45 second cooldown time everytime I have to go into a store.
If I keep it, it's going Tiger striped simply because it needs it. The paint on it is fair. There is some fad on the hood, roof and front fenders, common for an 87 vehicle. Other than that, it's super fun.
The price for all of this badassery....a Paltry $3,500.00 now that I found something I want badly.
I looked around at 4Runners of this vintage and none of the ones I saw were boosted. If you don't like the price, I completely understand....just keep it down to a dull roar.
Trades. Being me, I am always open for trade offers of all kinds. I don't do Hondas much, i'm more of a RWD guy, but one never knows. Show me what you got and we can talk. Will take your car and cash on top as well if i'm interested. Who knows.
