My question....is it them or is it the team they got stuck with?? I have alot of faith in these QBs and want to see them stamp their names in the NFL but am I just hoping to much and not seeing that the NFL is a whole diffrent story than college and that they will end up in the same names as big drafts QBs that end up just sucking for years??

I think it's always about half and half. Usually the big names go to sucky teams due to how the draft is set up, so yes, the teams normally are an issue. At the same time, there's always a huge learning curve going into the pros in any sport, with people being bigger, stronger, faster, etc.

Brady Quinn, for example, was good in college and got drafted to a poor team. But in that Monday night game a few weeks back, he threw (or tried to throw) two consecutive hail mary's at the end of the game. Both were about 10 feet out of bounds and not even close to the receiver. Then, after the game, he said they "were only this close" after getting pretty much shut out. That is him playing poorly, whether the team is bad or not, he still has a long way to go.

i think they should have stayed in college longer. look at Matt Ryan, he was a 5th year senior at BC and went to the Falcons. they were 4-12 and just cleaned house and got a new head coach. I think flacco was one too.

thats one of the reasons why I asked because of the way Ryan and Flacco came out being top rookies at that position

Sometimes they do stay at college awhile and still start off poorly. Matt Leinhart(sp) stayed an extra year at USC and hasn't done anything in the NFL. He even got the chance to start and then was outplayed by Warner and now rides the bench.

All the players you posted have very limited playing time except for Jamarcus. He is done for, not only because of the team he plays on, but because he continues to make stupid plays and hold on to the ball forever.

The rest of the players have plenty of time to learn and get acclimated. I always give QB's three years of experience before I make judgment on how good they can be. Flacco and Ryan are the exception to the rule, but for some reason every team thinks they can do the same thing with their rookie Qb's matched up with rookie head coaches. The player I am most surprised with is Sanchez. He was playing better before they traded for Braylon Edwards when he only had marginal receivers to throw to.
