Hiring - $9.50/hr

Aside from running my small business in this shitty economy during the days, I work overnight at the Airport. I am the payroll manager for a company that is contracted to AirTran. I will only work there until April so I'd like to get in some good people before I leave.

The hours are from 10pm-8:30am, 4 consecutive days a week (3 consecutive days off). Do not expect to get weekends off. Its possible, but don't expect it. If you have a problem with this, do not waste my time. Time and a half pay for holidays. if a holiday falls on your scheduled day it is MANDATORY.

The pay is $9.50/hr. We pretty much guarantee 40 hours a week. You can sign up for medical/dental benefits as well. This is a profit sharing company so after your 90 day probationary period you will recieve random profit sharing bonus checks.

Basically, all you do is clean the inside of airplanes. You rearrange the books and safety cards in the back seat pockets, replace old/torn ones, wipe down the tray tables, fold the seat belts, do a safety check on the seats... sometimes you have to vacum the whole plane while the other people are arranging the seat pockets. It really depends. Its easy work... just very repetitive.

I have several positions available since I am looking to replace a few people that do not realize that in this economy its a blessing to have a job.

You must be able to pass a drug test and extensive background check done by the airport/fbi. We invest roughly $300 per applicant just to get through the hiring process so I am going to be pretty picky about who I bring in.

I only want HARD WORKERS (as any company would). No complainers. No drama. Its an EASY job. If you make it more difficult than it is, you will not last long. This company (and the state of georgia) is an "at will" state... meaning we can terminate your employment "at will." I am looking to bring in a few people that will run circles around some of the current employees that are here that will ultimately help me weed out the bad apples and motivate the good ones to step it up and work better as a team. Basically, if I bring you in I will be holding you under a higher standard than the rest, as you will be my examples and will assist in helping me build a strong team.

Do not PM me about how much you need this job bla bla bla bla. I dont care if you have 10 kids and your mother needs surgery on her hip. All I care about is who is best for the job.

I have 10 positions available but will start by hiring 2 from IA. If all goes well then through referells we may bring in a few of your friends that you vouche for. Thats how I run things.

you can have felonies in some cases and still get good jobs..... AS LONG AS YOU ARE HONEST.

90% of people that fail criminal background checks were completely dishonest about things....


good luck to the hr guy though...... 9.50 for a decent employee is asking alot.... i hope its a cool atmosphere and relaxed environment.... otherwise id work at dominoes.

9-11 changed the rules when it deals w/ the airlines sir. They are VERY diff checks and I'm sure you can see why.

And 9.50 for a decent employee is NOT asking a lot w/ all of the people looking for work these days. ANY job a man agrees to do is worth doing his best at it. That line of thought is what's wrong w/ the country today. If you wanna do a shtty job then just quit - no matter what your job is.

Sorry I haven't updated. There will be more positions available soon since they are cleaning house. 2 guys are up and working right now. I had a TON of responses and a TON of great applicants. I passed on all the resumes to the main manager and he chose who to hire. He said that the next few people he hires will be out of that batch. Unfortunately, its my last week there. Good luck guys.
