so me and my friends were all working on our cars...mom had me go to publix to pic up some tomatoes...on the way there i realized that shit was closed, so i continued on down to ingles....

lost control of my car around a curve, brakes locked up. and me and my friend flew over the curb and 5 feet away from this "ravine"
had we gone further, car wouldve prolly exploded like in the movies and i wouldnt be here...

so i give my thanks to God..
and i hope the rest of you stay safe

p.s. we were gonna lower the car tomorrow......

could have been worse. Hopefully the next car you own will have wider tires than that one did, and you will also be more aware of what to look out for before losing traction. Good luck and I'm glad you're ok.

God probably gagged when he saw your wheels and decided that was the best way to fix it.

Unfortunately, the wheels still look in good shape. On the other hand, it's just another totalled honda... I think we've all had one. LOL

brakes and tires are 2 of the most important things on a car man! always watch those things- never skimp!

Glad to see you are safe.

And BTW- can I get the driver side rear plastic thing in front of the rear window if you part out. the black plastic piece on the rear door.

I love hearing about stories like this....

I had a customer come to the shop and say hey my brakes are making noise. I checked them and they had NO pads metal to metal.. I told them it would cost 110 bucks for everything and they said " well maybe next month or the first of the year. And hearing something like this, well they get whats coming when you neglected to fix a problem that will cause you more in the long run..I feel no sorry at all

Get your brakes fixed

wrong faster... it now has to be on a flat bed lol.:lmfao:

and i never heard of brakes just "locking up" obviously you hit the brakes hard enough to lock them up. you cant hit the brakes full bore and turn the wheel all the way and expect to get your 100% of braking and 100% of handling grip. you know get to have 100% weather it be 30% braking and 70% turning. way to show everyone on IA how stupid you were and going to fast for the turn... couldnt handle the turn so you hit the brakes to try and save yourself and well... than failed even more.

The pistons can freeze and lock up you know. Especially with drum breaks.

The brakes probably did lock up. From slamming on them when he lost control because of speed.

It's a good thing he didn't hurt anyone in this wreck. Later, QD.

I blame technology. When I was a yout, we were trained not to just stomp on the brake pedal and let the ABS computer do the rest (because our cars didn't have ABS). I find it amazing how with a modern car with ABS, Super Hicas, AWD, Active yaw, Active roll, Anti-skid, LSD, MP3, 6 disc CD changer and DSG these kids are still managing to slide of the road, land in lakes, or wrap them around a tree. Less Playstation, more real driving. Because unlike Gran Turismo 13.6, your real car takes damage.

Im not being an ass....just sayin....also, glad you didnt hurt anyone else.
