First go to the stickies at the top of this page where it explains everything.

Sign up with a organization, Chin Motorsports, NASA, Porsche Club, BMW Club, MVP, SCCA, etc.

SCCA offers 40 minute PDX sessions for $100...can't beat that.

Get your car ready, don't think you know how to drive good and listen to your instructor, than you will be golden.

Scott was that you in the blue Subaru? Didn't watch all the video to see if it was. I was there all weekend working.

Good run homie. Looks like you have room to go faster in a few sections if I wanted to analyze the drive but very good all around.
I'm also going to guess the car is close to full weight judging by your braking lines and the way you carry speed throughout the track. You're literally tracking out at all the same speeds as my E36 too

Car is beyond full weight ;)

It has AC, upgraded speakers, full interior, etc.

I think it was 2870 wet, but that guy in the passenger seat weighs 230, so call the car 3100. I'm 190 in clothes and helmet, so 3290...

It was also just an HPDE and not my car, so I always try to leave a little margin...

for all of those critics of the line taken by the GTR...

a. how do you even see his line other than a couple of points where scott got close and he was usually behind someone or avoiding a spinning BMW?

2. how many of you have actually driven at Road Atlanta?
2e. how many of you have driven a GTR at Road Atlanta to actually know what line to take?

Shariff should get someone...or let you drive the GTR, 1:36 is freaking fast for a car that last time I saw it was on a 245 street tire, even if its on hoosiers thats still moving.

Edit....stop being a bitch and brake later...especially in 6

0.32 late turn in on 3 and to far to right for turn 4

0.59 too far away from apex
1:05 same
1.15 sick display of power

2:44 too far from apex b/c late turn in
2:49 same ( had to pinch steering coming out of corner causes oversteer)
3:00 sick power

4:59 5:15 good sequence.

yes, flogged tons of laps in a 300tt and a SR 240sx. He asked me to pick out some points, so the points I could see the car I pointed a few things out. You think I am wrong? I have laps with the dip and without

I'm watching what you pointed out...

0:32: I'm not in the car so can't say, it could be pushing through there.
0:59: I agree here although he is in traffic and probably isn't worrying about that.
1:05: Definitely agree with you here. Although by his line in 6 and now 7 he may just be cruising to pass on the straight.
2:44: Once again I agree with you. It looked like it was pushing though.
2:49: Definately agree again, his line in 7 is very bad.

All in all I don't know how that car drives, never driven a GTR on the track so can't really say it all. I think we'd both have to be in the car to really criticize it, I know he's a good driver as I am there every time he's on track. The main thing from the video is he needs to work on turn 7.

Thanks, I have never driven one either but have instructed 2 drivers at Little Talledega. They only push when you give too much steering input or drive in too hard. The turn in on them is awesome, they work so much better going slower into the corner, and giving tons of power coming out.

I'd love to drive one on track, I've only had the chance to drive one on the street and only got to experience it's acceleration really.

Good points. The ones in traffic I'm sure he's just waiting to pass. Those laps were mostly playing around and we were running 1:36s.

Here's a set that includes a 1:32. I don't think there's much to improve on here ;)

Yep. Now that stage 2 weight reduction is complete (gallbladder removed) I'm good to go. The wild thing is that for the last few YEARS I thought I was lactose intolerant and for the last year I just thought it was getting worse. Now that I've got the gallbladder delete mod I can have all the milkshakes I want and no issue :D
