i dont know the difference so help me...im in the market for a psp for my brother for christmas and there so many different like 1000, 2000 and the 3000...wat the best bang for the buck???

1000 is the old "phat" 1st generation model.
2000 is the first generation slim, most are in white.
3000 is the second generation slim, with the new upgraded screen.

1000, and most 2000 models can have custom firmware installed very easily. I believe later mobo 2000's and 3000's have recently become easier to add firmware to.

I prefer my 2000.

don't get 3000 if you can avoid it.
they are notorious for gross ass scan lines.

lol okay kool...but still the 2000 model just a different edition correct...there like 2 on CL for like 100 buck lol

The 2000 is the first slim that they brought out.
