Well I am keeping the E30 now, I've almost stripped everything out and will be caging it after Christmas.

If affordable you mean like 5k lol if I had to choose anything right now for 5k to race it'd be either an RX-7 or Honda. Both are cheap to work on, you can find both cheap already race ready, and both can be competitive depending on class.

My E30 COULD be competitive really, ITA has a broad car type, some of the fastest are CRX's and Neons. I'm in ITA because the car is a 325E if it were a 325I it'd be in ITS with RX-7's, 944's, etc. ITS E30's usually can win races, ITA E30's aren't common mainly because it's not the fastest car available. If I got this car to run mid pack I'd be happy.

Not in any of the real IT classes, you can do a motor swap in like a GT class, but those are tube frame RWD cars anyway, prod classes I don't think you can either, nobody runs B series to my knowledge anyway.
