ok guys, need some advice here. i put new spark plugs (http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2686174#), plug wires, changed the oil/oil filter. tryed a p75 ecu. tryed adjusting the timing i don't see any vacuum lines unplugged.

it's a 96 gsr in a 95 civic. so it's obd2 motor obd1 car. i'm running a chipped p28, i called the guy i got the ecu from he said it should be fine. it's a stock base map "chrome" stock map.
first test was 500 something.
second test, adjusting timing 644
third test adjusting timing "retarded" just to see if it would make a diffrence since i advanced it and it went up. and got a 844 put it back in the middle tryed the p75 ls ecu and got 700 something. this is stressing me out. there is a plug that has 3 wires that's not plugged in. i have no check engine (http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2686174#) lights. since i'm running the chipped p28, i didn't run wires for the knock sensor or iab's any help appreciated. i searched honda-tech. and found clues as to how to get it through emissions, i dumped some octane booster in it, still didn't make much diffrence if any.

i searched honda-tech and found a few articles that i will try, but also seen guys that had the same problem as me but they never posted if they got it fixed or not.

what is the sensor directly on top of the throttle body with 2 vacuum lines, one goes to the catch can or whatever, and the second goes to the throttle body.

my brothers ls did the same exact thing and the vacuum line for the map sensor wasn't plugged in. but on this gsr, i don't see a vacuum line going to the map sensor.

the map sensor on your gsr has two bolts that hold it to the top of the throttle body. if you remove those bolts you will see that there is a o-ring under it and a hole it the throttle body. This is were it gets its vacuum from. As far as the other problem, I have no idea, we don't have emissions yet down here..

i pulled the map sensor off and replaced it with another used one i had it in here, i dunno if it's gonna make a diffrence, the car idles higher and seems to sound a little better with the map unplugged but the check engine light comes on.

got car through emissions thismorning, finally. last night i changed the map sensor and changed the pre cat o2 sensor with the post cat o2 sensor since the post cat wasn't plugged in "obd2 exaust" and finally got it through. not by much though, the limit is 220, i got it through at 217 but i also advanced the timing... may be too far advanced.
i also took the interstate and let the cat heat up. staying in a low gear high rpm's .. but it's good now.

can you copy and paste the emission paper so I can see what else it did so I can give you a more accurate answer
