Batlground: Toys For Tots CHARITY DYNO DAY. Dec 19th.

Saturday Dec. 19th Batlground is having a Dyno Day. This is a CHARITY EVENT. We are having a toy drive for Toys For Tots Atlanta. This is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE event. We are not setting a specific limit of cars dyno'd. We are gonna go till we can't go no mo'. If you would like to pre-register please come by the shop to drop off the toy, or we can take CC/paypal payment. We will be accepting unwrapped toys in lieu of the standard $30 for 2 pulls. If you do not wish to bring a toy(s) we will still accept the $30 and donate that as well. Dyno runs will start at 10 am, gate opens at 9 am. All spectators are free as always, but don't let that stop you from bringing something.

We will have a grill and there will be SOME food provided, basic stuff burgers, dogs, chicken. Feel free to bring your own. We will cook it on up for you.

Everyone knows how tough it has been over the last year and a half. I thought this would be a great way to help less fortunate kids. If you are interested and can help this cause, please respond to this post, pm, or email me. [email protected]

Hey everyone, thanks for all this interest! Sorry been gone for the last 2 weeks. Everything is looking perfect for this Saturday. I can't wait to see everyone and see how great this turn out is going to be.

It looks as though there will be a lot of people showing up for the dyno day this Saturday. As some of you know, we have limited parking. We have spoken with our 2 neighbors on either side of our building, Alicia's grocery and Jeff's Automotive Rest.(in the blue building). They have allowed us to use their lots for the day. I am asking that you please respect their property and do not leave behind trash.

It is especially important that if you park at Jeff's that you DO NOT RUN OVER THE BUSHES TO GET OUT. It happens every time and he gets upset with us about it. If someone has blocked you in, please come find me or someone else from BG and we will help to find the owner of the car with the bull horn.

I really don't think that you need a working tach other than knowing how high you want to rev the engine if you can't see the dyno screen from inside the car.. Dyno people can correct me if I'm wrong.

It just wasnt my night on the rollers - LOL.

I left home late b/c I suck - no real excuse to put in there - LOL. I turn on the kit and do a few nitrous pulls on the way there - burn down about 2lbs of gas and I'm happy. When I got to BG, I had Dan top off the bottle and I was ready to show off.

I intended to grab 67n (nitrous) and a 37f (fuel) jets outta my goodie bag... success... I thought!!! LOL. Hopped in the car - made it up to BG. After going over the kit... I ended up w/ a 61n and a 55f. FAIL. That's the 1st thing that went wrong. That's wayy too much fuel and would have choked down the nitrous side... sure it would have been safer, but def fat and robbing the power. :( I checked the 4 jets I could find outta the car : 61, 55, 41, 23. Did the math in my head and decided to go with the 61n and a 23f. I know that choked down the fuel but figured it'd still be a good combo since it's wet shot anyway... figured it'd be a good show for the dyno - wasn't too worried on hurting anything in my block anyway... if anything went it would have been rings - no biggy, the rest is bulletproof.

The 2nd thing that went wrong - as I'm rejetting - my AN fuel line from the fuel noid to nozzle has a major crack in the threads (female end)- this wasn't there until I tried to rush and re-plumb everything - I used vice grips instead of AN wrenches and put a nice crack in it... when fully screwed in we could see the threads through the fitting. FAIL. I looked at Bam-Bam and was like "fuck it... ship it - let it ride, it's just money - LOL." That turned out OK bc Dan had a short line in stock and I bought it and plumbed it up. Things were looking up - I thought.

3rd thing that went wrong - my tune. We get the bitch strapped and did a motor pull - my summer tune (92 degrees) is CRAP in 53 degree weather (duh)... so I was low on power 13 - 14hp. (every1 who had a summer tune was off on numbers tonight --- so that made me feel better - LOL). No biggy --- my 2nd pulll would be on the kit anyway right? Ready... Brandon at the controls popped the throttle - kit engages and it instantly leans out. I'm not worried - this happens all the time when you run a WOT switch instead of a window switch - I figure he was below 3k when he went WOT and that's not enough engine speed for the hack-job jet combo that I've got going. I tell him not to go WOT until he is at 3k RPMs or better - tried again.... same thing. I tell him to try it again and don't got WOT until 4k. Lean - bog - FAIL. I figure that was enough for a night and the combo survives to play with another day. For shits and giggles I spray on the way home and I needed about 6500 of revs for it not to bog. It pulled hard to 8500 and I retried it once more (just for my knowledge) and it went well. We did notice a few things I need to address w/ the kit so I am taking care of those in the morning so I can rice around the rest of the weekend. LOL.

I met some new people - saw some old people again - got to FINALLY meet Tracy face to face - and burned down a 6 pack of NOS Energy for the FO FREE. LOL. Good stuff!! Dropped a few race jokes... and picked at Dan's angry beard and mustache combo for a few hours - LOL.

Thanks soooo much to everyone that came out and donated. Thank you to everyone that helped. I could not have done it with out you! Thank you to Dan and Tracy for letting me do this and for all of their help. Tracy for the promo help and Dan for grilling the day away. Andrew and Justin for the hard work on the dyno. Kevin, Ashley, Anthony for keeping everyone going where they were supposed to. We had a huge pile of toys by the end of the day!
