ok i have an 95 gsr. its pistons chipped p28 but not for my car. it have the two ste in it an it hits at 3200 rpm. full exhaust. throttle body spacer. nothing serious done to the car. but every time i go to launch weither its at the track of on the highway it boggs down. i was wondering if it was the intake manifold. but i dont want to just throw parts at it. iwas hopeing if you all would know.

could be the tune. even at 3200 it should spin on street tires

no i dont have it full throttle on the launch. just enough where it bounces off the rev limiter quickely.

vtec ingages at 5200.

i was wondering if the butterflys in the mani could be messing me up.

lay that bitch on the floor lol. If it is bogging and you arent at WOT then give it more throttle.

With launch control it will require you to put the pedal all the way down when launching.

:slap: But I have 2 step and I get better times by just doing a 2000 roll off the line With a 2.0 60ft!

its more about throttle position threshold. Sounds like it might might need to be raised to something like 4xxx

yea i said when i go to get tuned i would get it raised up to about 4000 or 4500.
but it did do a lil better by giving it 100% throttle.

It was just a stock LS. I had an intake, exhaust, testpipe, Apex'i SAFC, and high-flow muffler. That was it.

I used to launch my 97 gsr at 3-3,500rpm's and it would launch great. Couple of chirps and gone, just had bolt ons... U shouldn't be having problems, honestly I would want it to bog some, rather then just blow the tires off of.....

lol yeah, cuz you REALLLY wont be going anywhere then. That happened to me on one of my runs where it blew the tires off, and i ended up makin an 18 second pass that same night i was running 15's and 16's the rest of the night cuz it lost all traction that one run.

different car, different driver. some things that work for others wont work for you. if you preload, you will hook a hella of a lot better. i can launch a near stock gsr with good tires at 6000~ and not spin a bit if i preload. our little honda's dont make much torque out of the hole, launch as high as you can without spinning bad.

shit I used to run 15 flat when I had my 96 dx civic. Only mods where full exhaust, CAI, Short-throw shifter, and I had CTR wheels. Bitch wasn't lowered, stock clutch, no lsd, and had full interior lol. I used to launch 3k-3500. Sometimes it would hook and spin but just a cunt hair when the spider gears locked, some times it would roast the tires. Just depends lol.
