For $3k just turbo it. It's a great engine.

Inline motors I'm guessing are the only ones capable of fitting so:

- LS1
- S2000 motor

I've seen them in Miata's. I'm sure every swap no matter which kind is going to cost more than 3g's. Supporting mods and all.

Save up for a NB, they are getting cheap.

You question is almost impossible to answer. Since you're asking about it, i'll assume that you're not the super handy DIY-er fabricator. In that case... no. The only easy bolt and go will be a 1.8L from a later Miata.

well this is my first miata and i love the way it handles im more of a nissan guy i have owned 6 240's and know every engine swap possible and i am more of an early 90's guy on cars anyways. i love building or swapping then building a car noone expects it from. just trying to learn a little more about these cars before i do anything.

stop talking. pointless post.

still wont come in under 3gs unless he get rock bottom low end parts. also a high mileage lsx to save on cost for all the other things he will need.

if he already has the tools then he could get if for under 3gs, just has to be patient and wait for great deals, then when he finds one jump on it.

of course there is always the option for a reg ole SBC

you can swap the engine out of the pontiac GTP into it, or swap in the 1.8 and turbo it.

I know the 5 liter mustang type engine was very popular at one time. I bet it could be done for 3 grand if you did the work yourself.

He asked what kind of motor swaps were available, you dork. I provided two options--so how is my post "pointless?"
