Running rich

ok so i have a 91 civic and basically the gas smell is getting inside the car... the previous owner said its because the back seats are out but i have owned my fair share of gutted cars and never ran into this problem.
So my next guess would be the fact that is has no cat... and there is no o2 bunge (sp) if i was to get a o2 sensor put in there would that solve my problem?

check the pump make sure its all sealed u. check all lines leak should be to hard to find.

That's kinda weird tjem if there's no 02 run. So you're sure it's a gas smell? Because running rich and gas are 2 different smells..

its more of a gas smell and when i turn on the heat most of it goes away:thinking:
