ok so new rings installed and have about 40 miles on them when I tested. I got 175 all the way across. sounds low but it was very consistent in all 4 so i figure test was done wrong, especially since I have pr3 pistons in bumping compression up. map sensor is bad but i doubt that hinders the results. any opinions? and lmk if you have a map sensor

since youve only been 40miles my guess is your rings havnt completely settled yet. run your car more and test again.

^^

After the first "break in" crank up and Idle.. the rings should be good..

^^ really? i always thought you had to run your car for awile for them to settle properly?

^ after the warm up/ first start up.. that should do the trick.. Change the oil.

Then break in the motor on the dyno or just go do a bunch of "RICER" driven..

^^ oo ok i was thinking of breaking in the motor.

test was done with wot, rings were made by topline and are the correct size, there were two fittings for the compression tester im not sure witch one was used but both fittings would have worked, ill try it again using both, thats the only thing i can think of.but 175 almost n the dot on all 4 must mean something

Did you hone the block before replacing the ring?

Try dropping a little bit of oil into the cylinders and doing a "wet" comp test. see if the numbers increase, that will tell you how well your rings are operating
