View Full Version : Religion Heaven has reached capacity...

With the millions and millions of people that have died throughout Earth's history and all those souls (I know not all of them) flooding the gates, wouldn't it stand to reason that Heaven would fill up? Is there a fire code that Heaven has to adhere to? And how would anyone ever find their loved ones up there among the millions of souls there?
Is Heaven just an infinite space with room enough for everyone that has ever walked the face of this planet? What's up with this? Later, QD.

Saints are not to just stay in Heaven they will be on Earth as well. Not going to get deep just stating. Note even sure if this is a serious question.

What are you doing putting heaven and reason in the same sentence?
Even though I know you are joking, Ill answer your question with another equally rediculous one. How big do you think a soul is and how big do you think heaven is?

Not so much as a joke or anything. Just a (sort of) humorous food for thought.

What are you doing questioning me?

How do you know I'm joking? And by the size of a couple of apparitions I've "caught" on camera, some can be a bit big.

If there wasn't enough room then God would quit making more people knowing that they will die one day.. Besides hell is supposedly going to fill up and begin to spill onto earth, not heaven.

I used to be a pretty devout Christian. (What the fuck happed??? lol)
Anyways here is a taste for you.
I love how this question points out how few of you have read the entire Bible.
"And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal" (\reference{Revelation 21:16}{Revelation 21:16}). Twelve thousand furlongs, 7,920,000 feet which being cubed, 496,793,088,000,000,000,000 cubic feet. Half of this we will reserve for the throne of God and the court of heaven, and half of the balance for streets, leaving a remainder of 124,198,272,000,000,000,000 cubic feet. Divide this by 4,096, the cubical feet in a room sixteen feet square, and there will be 30,321,843,750,000,000 rooms. We will now suppose that the world always did and always will contain 990,000,000,000,000 inhabitants, an that a generation lasts for 331/3 years, making in all 2,970,000,000 every century, and that the world will stand 100,000 years or 1,000 centuries, making in all 2,910,000,000,000 inhabitants. Then suppose there were one hundred worlds equal to this in number of inhabitants and duration of years, making a total of 297,000,000,000,000 persons, and there would be more than a hundred rooms sixteen feet square for each person.
Also I did a retreat in my final days as a Christian and this topic came up. I don't remember where the measurements or info came from but in the Sermon the calculations said Heaven was a Rectangular shape 14 times the size of Earth.(No it wasn't some crazy ass shit, He quoted another portion of revelations or maybe he made assumptions based upon the dimensions of the city.)

O.o wtf, so we all have rooms. So basically, you're telling me, that heaven is one big ass hotel? Would be hard to remember your room number, if its some crazy number like 240,443,340,123
Also, what book are you quoting? I looked it up and found this
The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[a]in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits[b] thick,[c] by man's measurement, which the angel was using.
Revelation 21:16 That is, about 1,400 miles (about 2,200 kilometers)
Revelation 21:17 That is, about 200 feet (about 65 meters)

What I quoted were sermon notes. The units of measure are still a kind of mystery so conversions are going to be off. My post was more to show that the bible included measurements not the exact size.

So was I...what, there can't be fat ghosts?
It's simple:
x = mass of a soul (kg)
y = density (m^3/kg)
n = number of dead people in heaven
z = volume of heaven (m^3)
% of capacity full heaven is = x*y*n/z
Now if only someone can tell me the values for x,y, and z.

So one time I was talking to a Jehovah's witness about how they believe there are only 44,000 or so spots in Heaven. I said "If there are only 44,000 spots, why are y'all out recruiting? Aren't you afraid someone you recruit might take your spot?"
The look on dude's face: priceless :D

They used to come visit my mom like once a week. She didn't want to talk to them, but she's not the type to run people off either. At first it was two, then after the third of fourth time they started bringing a whole van-load, and visiting twice a week. Eventually I found out you could call their church and ask to be put on the "do not visit list". So I did that and my parent's haven't been visited since. :goodjob:

The last time they came to my previous house was three years ago. They used to come down through about every other week. I finally let them in. Told them to come into the living room where I had a pentagram outlined on the floor with lit candles at the points. I told them we were just about to start if they wished to join us. They said they had a prior engagement and had to leave.
A few weeks ago I finally got tired of them coming around my present house. They would park their car in front of my house, right on the curb. So I went outside and put my cellphone to my ear and walked around their van pretending to call someone about the van. They ran over from about 3 different houses hollering that they're going to move it. They park on another street now and walk right past my house.
People. Hmmm. Later, QD.

all the people on earth could fit comfortably in this one galaxy. There are billions of galaxies. y would heaven have any less space since its god's home?
and heaven is host to myriads upon myriads of angels as the bible put its. its not the club.

WRONG. most JWs dont care about going to heaven anyway. the "great crowd" also mentioned in revelation, is what most will be. the group that lives in paradise forever on earth. (rev. 21: 3,4)
144,000 annointed people will rule in heaven alongside jesus and the angels. that is the distinct chosen number of humans that will go to heaven. not jsut random joe n bob from down the street, but god appointed. nothing a human can recruit to do. and JWs dont recruit. simply they do what every religion does. preach what they are taught to others. Same way christianity spread thousands of year ago. its YOUR choice to be a part or not. I stopped going in 2006 because it just wasnt for me. and from what i was taught, im dead when Armageddon hits. and if its true, ive accepted that fact.
but JWs ultimate goal is to live forever on earth in a paradise like garden of eden. except the whole earth will look like that.

i don't think heaven has a limit. i never heard about it ever being measured. what you should think about is what if you died today and you didn't pray and ask for forgiveness. Then you would be in deep doodoo and now you're going to burn in hell and look back at what you wrote in this thread lol " live everyday as if it were your last"
