I woke up at around 5:30 this morning and felt like someone had put a basketball in the left side of my head and then inflated it. I took some ibuprofen and sinus stuff the got ready to go to work. I fell back asleep and woke up around 10 and felt like a new man but after that stuff wore off, I feel terrible. I guess it is time to hit up the liquor cabinet and try to go to sleep. To the drugstore tomorrow for some of that Theraflu!

Theraflu Severe Nighttime Cough and Cold + Orange Juice. It's an all day adventure. Take a packet every 4 hours in a full glass of OJ. It's Night Time so you'll nap in between the doses. The next day it will be as if you were never even sick.

Glad to hear! I was about to call a healthcare professional! I think I will stick with the white liquor. I think the Vodka/Nyquil cocktail is helping my breathing and body aches out so I see me getting some sleep for a few hours at least!

I would recommend not combining acetaminophen containing products i.e. nyquil and theraflu with hard liquor. Reason being acetaminophen is metabolized in the liver as is alcohol. This can cause undue stress on the liver and lead to cirrhosis. Also remember that the maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 gm in 24 hours which is equivalent to 8 extra strength tylenol tablets. Anti-biotics would be contraindicated in the common cold as well as all strains of the flu as these maladies are caused by viruses and taking anti-biotics for this would be the medical equivalent of pissing into the wind. The anti-histamines found in typical "night time" cold remedies should provide enough sedation for you to get a good night's sleep.
