It's an OK song, but I'm sorry, he's one of the most overrated drummers. He's talented, but there are thousands of better drummers out there. I've played with several drumemrs that would clean the floor with Travis Barker.

And there's even added (electronic) cymbals at 1:20 and 2:50.

Barker's a showman, he plays BIG but not necessarily good. Fun to watch but nothing but a punk rock drummer collaborating with hiphop artists. I've gotta admit though, the two TRVS DJAM albums were sick.

And you drummers should add Ginger Baker to your list of some of the drum greats.

You cant compare Travis Barker to anyone outside his style of music....ALL of those guys play totally different types of music than he does. Yes they are fast as fuck with the double bass and have some ungodly drum setups....but they still are not the same style so trying to compare the two is retarded.

travis is a good drummer, but yeah this is a different style of music...you can even just listen to some of the old blink182 and hear some of his faster fills and whatnot. i agree with a lot you though, this whole rap drums is way overrated...i think travis could really do something better than what he is laying down, but he is a rock/punk drummer at heart, its like his personality with sticks.
travis is a very well trained drummer, he marched DCI (drum corp international) which is the top of the top drumlines...but yeah, there are better solo videos, but there is a big difference between just soloing on drums and playing music...there are showoff bands like dream theater where everyone is almost soloing at the same time, and they end up sounding like crap, still talented though. youtube mike portnoy for DIFFICULT drumming.

but the whole hype with this youtube videos is WAAAAAAAY overrated, i could that on the first try...really not hard, just something fresh for some people i guess??
