This is my first attempt with an external flash. It's an old "Starblitz" from the 80s maybe? It doesn't even work with my camera, I had to pop it manually during the exposure.

I can def tell that the flash is old school in the pics not bad though. Any pics of the white 350z?

hey timmy....did you fix that clutch in that car yet?

If not you might want to start to save up for one. Original clutch and 100k+ miles is a problem waiting to happen.

PS- Hope you are going to do something to the insides as well...GL

It's the amount of area the flash encompasses and the center focus of the flash is so strong and not spread out, not that it looks bad. They just don't do it so much these days.

hah, i was only there from 9:30 to 10:15.

and totally untrue about the long shutter. The flash provides light where there just wasn't before. A longer shutter without the flash where I put it would have simply resulted in a lot of over-and-under-exposed areas.

I have a few with just long shutter if you would like to see them. massive difference.

very cool. I think i'm about to blow some money on a modern flash or two. they make such a huge difference.

The clutch is fine, and the interior is in the process of bein changed

the stickers are OK, but the color difference between the front bumper and the fenders is what looks terrible.

shots look good for one exposure. look up "painting with light" that might help you in the future getting the entire car lit :cheers:

Yea the bumper was painted off the car so it turned out crappy, and the carbon fiber hood is severly messed up that's why it's covered in stickers but an overhaul is in the works and the car won't anything like it does now

oh GOD dont remind me. I haven't gotten brake cleaner in my eyes but I have gotten Lacquer thinner in my eyes at one point and that shit BURNS for hours. after that i dont give a fuck how uncomfortable safety glasses are, i wear them at all times now lol.
