I recently got these -20 wheels, and they are going to set this thing off. Everyone's going to want a B210 now. Winter plans include de-arched leafs, a full 280zx front brake/springs assembly, and some TE27 flares{best fitting flares according to a B210 guru} If anyone has some TE27 corolla flares in any condition please let me know. Or if you know a good source. I think i am also taking the stripes off, and i want to tuck the back bumper, and get an oil cooler for the front bumper area.

Why de-arch the rear leaf? Just take it off and turn it over and put it back on? Later, QD.

That works too, i just dont really want blocks, i bump my head on the roof of the 620 enough already. Flip them all over or just the botoom one?

On my 83 Civic wagon and my 77 Toyota truck, I just ran a flipped mono spring. Cost zero money. Later, QD.

I can dig it... I feel if the wheels were a size bigger, it would flow better. But nice none the less.

I feel if the wheels were a size bigger,

Hail no! These are old school cars, man. You don't put anything bigger than 13s on an old school car. Keep them 15s and up wheels out here, man.

Lolol. Seriously, though. 15" wheels and bigger have no place in the nostalgic Japanese car world. I look forward to the day that my Civic has a set of 13s on it. Later, QD.

Cool eddie, but i cant make it saturday. the datsuns have no tags/insurance and you know the crowns status. But i believe my new engine is coming in on saturday, so i'll be back big next year.

Is it the coupe for sale on craigs? there is no picture so i waswondering about the condition. post up pics or the car or mags if you got them. i might be interested. what are you looking to trade for?

Coupe is here locally in huntsville, Al. not advertised, it's been sitting up for long time.Want to trade my rims n tires for the ones u have on your 210!! lol. U asked u got answer. What u got to trade?

AltimaCharlie
11-19-2009, 01:23 PM
well mine are 13x7 with a -20 offset, so yours are "better" of course i really dont need more poke. but i would consider it. what do they look like? i assume it's 4x114 pattern? all i have to trade is 6-lug nissan truck wheels and a few sets of 280zx turbo wheels. so no details on the coupe? rusty/running/ugly yellow anything?

they are american racing reserve offsets, i think. i really dont know but someone said they are AR and the name is reserve offset, but who really knows. no markings that suggest that i have seen. i didn't seek out these particular rims, i just wanted 13" and found these. i suggest looking at for types of 80's wheels and you will find something cool. Get some pics of the b210 if you ever have time.

My rims stick out 1 1/8 inch in front and 3/4 inch in rear. Think we have same offset.

can you run the 85' toyota 4x4 4 piston calipers on the 280zx knuckle? i put 280z front suspension on my 72 510 with the toyota brakes, bolt right up with the stock rotor and everything, i think i got both calipers fully loaded brand new for 75 a piece from pepgirls.

i love the rims man, good stuff

I bet the toyota calipers would work, i've heard about them fitting a variety of old japanese stuff. we tried running them on my toyota crown but ended up using supra stuff instead. Really with this little car the 280zx setup isn't even neccessary, it being so small and on the stock engine. but i need all new rotors and pads anyway so i figured i'd do the zx stuff since it is better and drops the car 2" out the box. do you still have the 510? you should post it up here, and your z car too.

Ha, found this thread by accident on google.
Nice wheels man.

I too have a b210.

I swapped the front suspension for s13 stuff (apex i n1's, s13 hubs,brakes, LCA)

I got some 15"x8"(i know, i know) wheels from basset race wheel -38 offset:boobies:.

I needed 15"s to clear the calipers.

Surprisingly most of the s13 stuff bolted right up, sort of.

Still not done. Gotta cut and massage some of the "tub" to clear the wheels and steering angle i have now.

But I was also looking for a set of over fenders or flares or whatever you call them.
Anybody else gotta set?

I just put a set a bigger tires on these rims because the ones in the pics where old, they are acually the brand new tires i got when i bought the car. So they are too tall and not wide enough, but i got them on there with starter fluid and fire! I'm just trying to get it in decent shape for The Mitty this weekend. So 15x8 with -38? that will be hard to pull off i'd imagine, but they would look bad-ass. i have only lowered mine a little in the front and i am already getting some serious scrubbing on hard turns. Look for TE27 { toyota corolla} flares. i here they fit the best, and it's what i plan on getting as well. Of course peaple make the Z car flares fit on just about anything with enough work, and they are easier to find. What are you going to do with the rear suspention? i put in new shocks in the rear of mine last night, just factory stuff.

Yeah, It seems that im going to have to "tub" part of the wheel well/driver compartment to clear the xbox huge wheels and crazy dorifto(™) steering angle.

On the rear I flipped the 3rd leaf down, upside down and repositioned it to the top of the leaf packs.
Like so.

now mine are

Lowered like 3+ inches and stiffened up the rear quite a bit. I also have some koni yellows for the rear but havent put them in yet. The Apexi gear up from has adjustable camber plates, but im not sure if the dampening rate is adjustable.
I also welded the diff.

This car is great, Ive learned so much by just hacking on it.
I even learned how to mount my own tires haha.

I have yet to see another b210 in atlanta since I got mine(except for that one at pull a part)

Sucks im not gonna have this thing ready for the mittty.:(

Cool man, i will do the same to my leafs once i get some new tires. I know of another B210, it's a teal green color and it sits at a house in mableton near where i live. Around the concord rd area. It's the only other one i ever seen in person, but there is a coupe for sale on craigslist{or was for the last month or so} Is the pull-a-part one still there? Any good parts? I'd love to see some pics of your car, you should post up a thread about it.

BTLFED-Get on it man! mine sat since august and we had it running good in about 20 minutes when i finally decided to get off my ass and work on it. I had a new starter sitting in the hatch for like 5 months and it literally took me about 5 minutes to install it! the n the rear shocks took me about 30 minutes tops.

Oh mine runs totally fine. It's just a bit rusty. Besides that I want to do a swap in it with a big shot of nitrous. I've found a lot of places that have body parts for it, except the front fenders which is what I need the most LOL

Looks cool man ! It will look really nice a little lower. I wonder if the tires were just a little wider and one size taller, it might really be perfect. I'm all for "stretching" if it looks right...but with the flares, it might look more proportionate with a slightly taller/wider tire.

Nothing crazy...just a thought. Love the 210 though !

Rut-i totally agree. Here is a couple shots from the Mitty. As you see i did get taller tires, too tall i think. i had these laying around the yard and they where pretty much brand new so i used them. I still want to get the flares on, and slightly smaller tires than what i have now. I guess somewhere right between the two.

I like how that fills the wheel wells up, but I'm with ya...split the difference and I think you'll have the perfect fit on there. Congrats man! Looks really neat.
