View Full Version : Off to the Emergency Room I go..

So yea, I've been having some serious chest pains on my right side.. like right where my right breast bone is.. it's so bad it hurts when I breath in deep and my right arm hurts and the right side of my head hurts.. does anyone know what this could be? I'm thinking like upper resp. infection or gallbladder or maybe in bronchitis? Anyone have any ideas before I go to the doctor? I just called my doctor and she thinks I should go to the emergency room... :dunno:

probably not your gallbladder that only hurts (like heartburn) after you eat.. my sis had hers out about a month ago... bronchitis is coughing which causes the pain... it could be some sort of infection... i would go ahead and go to the doctor to see what they say.. sorry babe

shit I had pneumonia one time when I had a pain like that. Didnt even know it, wasnt even sick..had water in my right lung from the infection, and doctor was like glad you got here now..I was in crying pain and it felt like my back had excrutiating(sp) pain.

i had something called pleurisy
inflammation of the lung linings, pain sounds like you are describing.

i let it go for a week and just endured the pain, but it eventually got so bad i had to go to the emergency room. was on pain killers for almost a month :crazy:

do you smoke? if you do, now is a good time to stop ;)

hope its nothing serious

yes, i smoke, but not that much really.. its more like i smoke when i drink.. with an occasional cigarette every now and then.

hope you feel better soon! i get pains like that sometimes, but its usually from a respir. infection. good luck!

that's what she said i have.. she gave me a perscription called indocin..

no er for me, thank god!

Glad you'll be okay. I'm glad you didn't have to go to the ER. Unless you have insurance, that place will eat you alive. But you know that.

you also need to walk around with a helmet and safety vest.


only on IA do people get hurt so often, usually self inflicted!
