Converting it to manual is far from "modding" it. Automatic is an unfavorable option to most people and take away from the fun of the car.

on these older corollas to convert it to a manual involves welding a new bracket on and drilling through the fire wall....not worth it unless your going to go all out with a build.

I want to get it and do the following:

Update suspension
Wheels

and drive it until the wheels fall off. Thats it

just to let you know...auto in these cars is terrible for the highway. im talkin like 4k rpm at 60. although this is a 4ac car instead of a 3tc car so it may be different. and we didnt have to do any cutting when mine was converted to 5spd:???:

i know on the two doors the brackets are different and you need to cut the one out and weld in a new one or fabricate a new one

brackets? what? if you look to the right of the brake booster/master cylinder in the engine bay shot, you can see the hole where the hydrolic clutch master cylinder goes. then run your lines down to the slave cylinder.

on a side note, i just noticed the fan shroud. I can honestly say ive never seen that on a corolla older than an Ae86 haha

was this the car on craigslist not to long ago for 900 obo?? the only difference is that the bumpers have been sprayed gloss black. it even had the same temp tag and everything. As for converting it to 5 spd all you have to do is get the clutch petal assembly and bolt it up, the holes are already there. then you just cut the brake pedal in half and run the line to the slave. plus changing the starter and a few other things. But cutting and drilling WTF! As for the bracket, you can use one from a 2 or 4 door. lol anyways good luck with sale, sorry i got a little carried away

yeah I was confused with a different model, maybe it was the older corollas, I remember there was a year that they made where you could not do this.

Also I went to see the car and can say it is beautiful, oh and no the bumpers are not painted, they are just that good looking....lol

sorry I never called yall back. Working with a few people on selling the S2000. I just cannot get it at the moment, need to get off this car first, then a corolla.

Good luck, if things change I will call yall.
