Okay heres the scenario.... Theres a car in Florida with a rebuilt tile due to theft recovery, no accidents just a theft recovery. The car is clean as a whistle and has been put back to its original self accept for the motor. (swapped). But to get this car in Georgia and insured, could I just buy it and register it at the local DMV or do I have to get it reinspected since its from another state?

Any advice would be appreciated.:goodjob:

If it has a rebuilt title, then you should be fine and be able to register it here.

If it has an out of state REBUILT title GA will reinspect the car!!!EVen for a salvage title!

Oh ok, my bad. Always thought if a car has a rebuilt title, wouldn't need to be inspected anymore.

Is it pretty basic, meaning I just tow the car up there and they check it out.... The only thing different is the motor K-swap....would that be a problem?

I have a ga rebuilders licence. Yes you will have to have it reinspected in ga. The good news is you will not need recepts for the parts used or pics of the before damage if any. The inspection will cost you 218$ plus towing fees the car must be towed to the state inspection place! they will fail you if they see you driveing the vehicle there.
