Okay so I got this random set of HIDs with my last BMW. I have no idea what they go to, or what bulb style they are for.

I know the ballasts are high quality, not sure on the bulbs tho.

PLZ help a brother out lol

"2R bulbs were originally designed for Mercedes-Benz. Consequently, D2R bulbs and D2S bulbs (used initially by BMW) feature subtle differences at the base of the bulb for fitment purposes. The differences primarily consist of a cut-out and notch for fastening purposes being located differently. In addition to the base varying slightly, D2R bulbs are easily distinguished by ceramic paint along the sides of the capsule."

Its a damn bulb size. Are those 5 bulb sizes the only ones you've ever heard of?

AHHHHH. It all makes sense....

No, those are not the only sizes. Ive just never heard of "D2S" style. I guess the previous owner was going to retrofit the D2S bulbs into an H1 slot, which is a total pain in the ass apparently.

Fuck it. I'm gonna sell them and get some cash for something else on my car.

Repps for anyone that posted.

Thanks

Yea dude...I typically see the "D" sizes as oem equipment and those bulbs aren't cheap man. Some real high quality stuff you got there.

Yeah, they are nice, but I'm not going to use them really. I put them up for sale for cheap. I just would like them to pay for some yellow fogs or something for my car I need. I got them free, as long as I get some cash for them, I'm happy.

Did I say otherwise??????????? You probably didn't notice the "also" I had in front of my statement which I'm sure making oem headlights for huge companies would make them much more known than just big lights on lifted trucks.

You also stated that the kit was a "hella kit".....it's not. It's a Hella ballast with Philips bulbs.
