Let's get it started. The game starts at 3:30 on Saturday and will be on ABC. GT has a nice little home game against WF Saturday. I think this should be an easy conference W for Tech.
There are a lot of scenarios that could happen to determine the ACC-Coastal champion. Duke is still in it. Miami is still in it. Even VT and UV are still in.
GT HAS to win the next two games (WF, Duke) to win the ACC-Coastal division. Miami is 3-2 with 3 conference games left (Virginia, UNC, Duke) and if GT loses one of the next two and Miami wins out, Miami will get the tie-breaker.
If Duke wins out, they can take it from GT with the tie-breaker.
There is so much going on and GT just needs to win this weekends game big time to keep their chances from lessening. Later, QD.

I think it is an easy win for sure if Riley Skinner sits out with his concussion, however if he does play I still think we should win but it would be a closer game

Of course, I like our chances. With whats at stake though...these ACC games always make me a little nervous.

Personally I've always been an SEC guy, but this year the ACC has been much more fun to watch. I say Tech has this, but it will end up being crazy close.

i believe with all my heart that tech is going to win out and win the acc, i they are plenty focused and thirsty enough to win out.

I should be there for this one. Tech should be able to pull out another win.

Of course I'm pulling for Wake LOL. I think that on paper based on what we have seen GT takes it......That being said Wakes back up looked plenty capable and lets be honest nothing is out of the realm of reason in the ACC this year. The game will be won in the 2nd half. GT has the tendency to fall behind early then smash the shit out of their opponents in the 2nd half ( except for Miami lol). Wake is a game opponent and I know I will be glued to this game fo sho!!!
I think it's likely to be high scoring but Tech runs away with i in the 2nd half (no pun intended). We're not too good against the pass and Wake is not too good against the run, so there will be scoring.
I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to drive down for it.

You better be watching and not rooting for Tech.

Virginia and Miami start in a few minutes. Whoever loses will be knocked out of contention. If GT wins, that will knock both of them out of the race, along with Virginia Tech. Duke would be the only team left in this. Later, QD.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if Miami wins and GT wins, Miami will still have a chance(albeit unlikely); it just depends on GT then losing to Duke.

I meant to put in if Miami loses today and GT wins, Miami will be out.
Looking at a couple of more stats shows that GT is ranked #1 in rushing offense and WF is ranked #67 in rushing defense. Good for GT. Also, as of right now, Northwestern is beating (in the 4th) #4 Iowa. And you have Alabama and LSU in a while. Those are both top 10 teams. That will really help Tech if Iowa loses and (of course) Alabama or LSU loses. Later, QD.

yeah northwestern just needs to hold on a few more minutes and then if tech wins we could see a #7 or 8 spot easy

That's one undefeated team out of Tech's way lol

Also remember that Alabama and LSU are both ranked above GT. They play each other today. This will help out as well. Later, QD.

Yep that's why I said with a win we will be 7 or 8, but right now Oregon is also losing to Stanford....so maybe a 5 or 6 spot if oregon falls as well

wow great, we stop them inside the 5 and then get roughing the kicker on the FG....

Yeah and there is another game factoring into the ranking. Stanford is beating the shit out of Oregon who is ranked #8. With Iowa's loss and Oregon losing and if Alabama can come on and win over LSU, GT needs to win. This is a HUGE opportunity for Tech to move up. Later, QD.

looks like we are already showing our 2nd half colors.
less than 2 minutes: 3 and out for WF and 1 play for a TD for GT!
Damn, WF put up a freaking battle. I did not expect their defense to hold up like that.
However, as far as I'm concerned, this might as well be Paul Johnson after that 4th and 1 call in OT.

There is no technicality at all, man. A>B and B>C does not always mean A>C.
But it's neither here nor there now since GT pulled it off. And it definitely wasn't easy, dammit. Three teams tanked ahead of GT all lost today.
As far as the ACC goes, GT wins the Coastal with a win over Duke next week. If Duke beats Tech, then Miami would have to lost one of their next two games and Duke would have to lose one of their final two games. Later, QD.

Gotta correct you here
Miami beat Wake 28-27
Wake missed a 60yrd FG in the final seconds to lose. They played a great game and could have won, but they didn't
Either way, I almost had a heart attack tonight! However, we are 9-1!
Quick breakdown of the day:
#4 Iowa Lost
#8 Oregon Lost
#9 LSU Lost
Other worthy notes:
#3 Bama didn't have a "convincing" win so their BCS numbers will suffer, but will still be #3
#5 Cincinnati BARELY scraped by against UCONN in a 47-45 win (gave up 21 in the 4th quarter alone!)
#7 Boise State looked downright atrocious against LA Tech friday night, barely winning.
My prediction for tomorrow night's BCS standings
#1 Florida
#2 Texas
#3 Alabama
#4 TCU
#5 Cincinnati
#6 Georgia Tech
#7 Boise State
#8 Pittsburgh
#9 Utah
#10 Iowa
Everything after Boise State is up to the voters really, but I think that is how it will look. Finally the rankings will show we are the #1 1-Loss team in the nation since the other 2 ahead of us lost today
