Email i just got..... copy and pasted....
The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately
85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she
pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the
motorcycle. The riders reaction time was not sufficient
enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers
and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The
Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and
landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.
All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed
instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle
Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department.
Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new
motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW
WHO HAS A CELL PHONE!!!!!
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Wake up people, Stop talking on Cell phones and Texting
while trying to drive. Put your Cell phone in the back seat !!!

It was a woman talking on her phone. Just read the damn post. When I had my bike, I used to get dumb ass like that almost hitting me all the time. Not paying attention and swerving in front of you, pulling out in front of you, and other crazy shit. Then they look at you like your the idiot. Hell I was coming into Gainesville from Oakwood on Atlanta Hwy one day and had about 8 Mexicans with kids walk straight out in front of me. I was only going 45 which is the speed limit. But I almost laid it down. Cause you first reaction is too slam on the breaks. I just didn't want to hit those kids cause they had no idea. But the adults, I could of plowed thru them and not cared because if they wanna j-walk out in front of moving vehicles and motorcycles, that's their own stupidity.

O and I have to disagree with the saying it was going 155mph. Do you know how light most VW's like that are? hell you can take one of those cars and with 4-6 in shape guys and lift it. Now you take something that's going around 95mph, factor in the weight of the guy and the bike which is prolly around 600-700 pounds. Now you have to compensate for the inertia of something that heavy traveling at or around 90mph vs. hitting a light compact car that's dead stopped. Easy to flip over if hit just right. Also considering the fact that car is really nothing more than a slightly reinforced tinfoil coke can.

I have a Class A license, and a clean driving record. Very good driver in both racing on the track, driving on the street, and being very safe.... BUT.... I still will not text while driving regardless how good of a driver I am, and VERY VERY seldom even talk on my cell phone while driving. I was going to text while driving slow the other day and I go F>CK no i'll wait for the appropriate time. I'll tell the person I will call them back. I know being on the cell phone takes response time down, and less attentive on the road. Great reason I dont use it while driving. People use cell phone's when your not driving and wait till your out of the car, if it's not life threatening im sure they can wait for you to call them back PERIOD. If this lady wasnt on her cell phone this accident might not have happened.

The scariest part of riding for me IS intersections and busy cross streets. Thats why my friends and I equipped our bikes with the brightest HID's as possible. SOme of us only run 1 light so we retro fitted 2 bixenon projectors so we have 2x the light. Every little bit helps.

Reps to you for being smart. The only way I would ride a crotch rocket these days would be a bright yellow bike and VERY BRIGHT HIDS that you cant miss even when glancing lol. I wouldnt want some idiot pulling out in front of me and I flip over the car . Actually saw this happen years and years ago at the Shallowford and Piedmont intersection a lil ways down. I saw this guy pull out in front of a crotch rocket and the bike hit the car and dude flew airborne like 15 ft and over the cars I was like  dayum.
