Maxima from SC

hey. i drive a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE and live in greenville, sc. only mods so far are an intake and the car has some rust so the muffler was just hanging on the brackets when i got it, so i took it off. doesnt sound bad at all without the muffler. here are some pics of it.

1st one i test drove was a red 3rd that i drove an hour to get to and the guys said it was in good condition and it was a turd!!!!

ive driven an se exactly like that, same color and all. im pretty sure it was a v6. sounded too throaty to be a 4cyl. they sound nice even with stock exhaust.

the vq30s love intakes...they make absolutely no hp...but dang does it sound good...i burn alot of gas just flooring it just to hear the exhaust:lmfao:

Well ive only had the my current maxima for a couple months but im not new to them ive been messing around with them for more than 2 years now. My previous one was a 97 GLE auto which is why i sold it, but to answer your question the only things ive done performance wise are intake and i took the rear section of the stock exhaust off (idk if that has any hp gains lol). But im thinking a vq35 with the hr valvetrain in the future.

Cosmetically I have black housing headlights its been debadged, gunmetal sawblades, hid's, doing the 97 front bumper in a couple days to complete the 97 front end.

ok lol. i've replace the sparkplugs with ngk iridiums, replaced my fog bulbs, rewired them, put 99 SE wheels on, took 99 SE wheels off, put new headlight bulbs in, and have a working Bose :bump:

My bose is a POS went from working to the cassette player going out then the cd player stoped acepting cd's now all the lights on the unit are out im left with am/fm. But its all good i scored an alpine headunit for $20 gonna pick it up tomorrow. :cheers:
