Wanted to hear everyones opinion. Havent been out in a while becuase Ive been real frugal since I'm buying a house, but wanted to know where the best place for steak may be that I might have missed. Ive done the Kevin Rathbun, Chops, Stoney River, Ruth Chris . NY Prime Tour. But Atlanta has TONS of steakhouses and I know there I'm missing out!

Have you tried Bone's and Hal's? BLT Steak is also another good one. Anyplace that has a dry aged ribeye is going to be great. It's the most flavorful cut in my opinion. It all comes down to the sides.

Ive heard a lot of good things about Bones, and have never made it out there.
Ive met the manager of Hals and he was a great guy and invited me to come and eat on him, I just never took him up on the offer. Sammy I think? I have his card here somewhere. Are the steaks really good over there?
And I TOTALLY agree with you about the sides. Kevin Rathbun had a great steak, but the sides were, umm... not sure how to phrase it. They were great, but small portions! But the appetizers were great! I'm still thinking about the crab cakes!! Getting hungry, LOL!!

Bones, chops, ruths chris. Chops is on the expensive side but well worth it.

Chops is definitely good, but I think that a lot of people really sleep on New York Prime. Not "Prime" in Lenox but the restaurant in Phipps. I love their steaks, and the service is ridiculously good

Chops is by far the best steak!!!! Bones is a close second, and Mckendricks is a distant third.

I've been to a lot of these places and while they are all great I think I make a pretty mean steak at home. There's no magic to it, you just need good meat. Don't buy that cheap bulk pack or whatever they have on sale at Wal-Mart. I go and buy a dry aged grass fed steak and season it up a bit and go to work.

Best steak is at ST9 Forsyth. You want good food go to a fire house. Other than that I enjoy stoney river or Sharp Mt. Grill
