Buddy of mine is shipping out to the big sandbox and has left me his 92 acura interga with a b16A dohc in it along with $6000 and a 50trim set up. He said have fun with it fix it up and he'll be back to get it from me at the end of the year. Well, im not what you would call an Acura/Honda expert so if you had $6000 what would you do with it. and no he doesnt want another car, he wants that money put into the car.
thanks for any advice.

But, on a serious note. GSR block with Darton closed deck sleeves. Some 84.5 mm forged pistons. Eagle stroker kit, skunk 2 pro series cams, and skunk 2 valve-train. ARP head studs. Make sure the compression will be around 10.5:1 and you work out the boost details.

fair enough, what do the civic/integra, as far as boost normally run on a motor like that I told him no more then 12psi. but thats a personal prefrence. i run 16 on my car but w/e.

That depends on a lot of factors. Internal engine components, turbo size, etc. Different size turbos will yield different hp per psi. Forged internals will sustain more hp than cast internals.

Your friend is a very trusting fellow. If you are not mechanically inclined, get a general idea of what you want to do (so that you aren't just asking questions about anything and everything) and call Mainstream. I'm sure they've done builds like this before.

Yeah the drive can be intense. The old shop was even better in that regard; one time I was riding home with someone and we ended up in Bankhead.

with $6000 you can do A LOT
Golden Eagle Sleeved Block with rods and Pistons ASSEMBLED 2.0 -$2800
Valvetrain $200
LSVTEC kit $100
Headgasket $60
ARP headstuds $100
You could do a nice BB turbo for around $500-600
That would be a reliable 400whp car
What suspension does he have on the car?

car is at my other house right now I will get pics up probally this weekend, the car has a 50 trim setup...like, in the back seat not actually on the car yet lol. but yes it is a stock b16 block (from what he told me). Stage 3 act clutch stock injectors but has a FPR for some reason(?) and he has a cold air intake.

He is we spent the past year together in the military and he is from Guam so over here in the states his family is my family. Pretty much a brother. Pics will be posted up this weekend, and im sure through the next year I will have a "Project build" thread going on. New to Ia, old to the import world.

I can get you the suspension if you want but you gotta order it soon, their sale ends pretty quick. They were only offereing it to certain people to try to get the word out on the EF/DA suspension. I just got my PRO-Cs in, i can get them to send me another set for the DA if you want

Take it to mainstream and have them build you a nice motor set up. And do your friend want it turbo charged or na.

I would say more power or make it handle really good.
GC coilovers with custom valved koni shocks, big rear bar, etc etc. Then do a bolt in rollbar, race seats, harnesses, etc. 15x10 with 275's on all four corners, carbon front lip and splitter. And a big brake kit....

Im so interested to see how this turns out. If you do what Vteckidd suggested, then he would have a hell of a DA. DA Club could have a more than worthy new member!

I would drive his car to the nearest strip club and spend $6000.. Then when he comes home give him a box full of I-O-Us. Like in the movie dumb and dumber...
just kidding with 6 grand you can do just about anything. H2B, nice suspension, and some nozzle lights..
