i heard they say dont put lube on the back of the main and rod bearings only the front. same as in none on the block for the mains where the upper one goes.

true or not??

and why??

i put lube anywhere there is metal to metal contact. thats just me.

if u dont have to, i dont see an point where it should hurt the motor...it should only be beneficial..lube should insure it more..

i just rebuilt one recently and out it on both sides and engine is perfect

u can never have to much lube. for $7 a bottle pennies on the $ insurance.
