speedo??

well i have a 1994 ls swapped hatchback...all the guages work except the speedo,so i replaced it i had a spare d series speed sensor and just swapped the shaft and i still dont have a speedo my question should it have worked or could it be something else..:thinking:

i mean it worked fine before i swapped it,no problems once so ever so i doubt its the guage so my question what ground and signal wire the one actually comin off the sensor?
